We should have bought more players. It's a massive risk to just hope our best players stay fit, and our squad is still not complete. We should be looking to acquire proper full/wingbacks, now wingers acting as make shift wingbacks. At the end of the day our squad is not complete or solid, we should have bought at least 3 new players. You don't just settle on the squad that got you there last season, you should be strengthening like other teams around you.
Who says they won't there's plenty of links around.. Mexico are reporting we've actually agreed to sign munoz. There's a few strong links. If they don't it doesn't mean we won't do better than last season anyway because we only had this side half the season and were 10th best last 18 and 7th best last 11. During that we had serious injuries at the same time to schar max almiron and Wilson, so there's food for thought It does actually look like there's going to be 1 or maybe 2 more mate
Of course it doesn't mean they'll get anyone, but I think these links to cajuste, kamara and Perez seem strong
------------Wilson----ASM--------- -----Almiron-Hayden--Willock----- Lewis----------------------------Murphy -------Clarke-Lascelles-Shar------- ----------------A Goalkeeper----------------
But going forward that is a good team. Though instead of "A goal keeper" I would 100% give the no 1 spot to Woodman
It'll be a side including Hendrick Hayden shelvey and lacelles and Joelinton so we've got no chance 1-2 West ham Antonio
Brentford today are a prime example of if you try to win a game you can. Win lose or draw. Just ****ing try and win. I would appreciate Bruce if he tried this on Sunday. Try and win. At home. We may lose but please just try and win the game.
I say it every season. It was the same when people were defending Rafa for his negative tactics saying he doesn't have the players. Bollocks. Him and Bruce claiming the same in the press. Bruce saying he had to play counter attack because of the players he inherited. Fair enough, there is an element of that. However I think a large part was he didn't have the football coaching acumen to coach his way out of that mentality. Graeme Jones comes in, boom we start to press more. We are still hindered by the central midfield so I'll say fair enough that Bruce has tried to change this with a go forward midfielder like Willock. Jones will be over the moon to have a modern young player like that to work with. I just still fear our inability at home to get ASM, Willock, Wilson, Almiron all on the pitch at once. Get them 4 tearing at teams, its a lot of pace. It will bring goals. Yes it will expose us more but I'd back them 4 more than not to get enough goals with proper coaching. They'll get that from Jones so Bruce needs to take the shackles off.
Bruce needs to just **** off. Lets go grab a young German, or better yet, promote Jones and give him a team of coaches.
