Thought to myself, sick of all this Bruce talk, I have to go out so will call at the butchers in the village for some pork and a bacon sarnie. What was I thinking of, my butcher is a season card older and massive Sunderland fan, he got me cornered in the shop, was doing something with a dead pig at the time so had a big chopper in his hand, getting like a porn story here. I may have picked him up wrong but I get the distinct feeling that if Bruce fancies a pie he would be well advised to steer clear of my butchers. He could well end up with his head in the window with an orange in his mouth. The only comfort was that the other butcher is a Leeds fan and could not understand what we were moaning about. I enjoyed the bacon buttie mind.
Incidently can anyone recommend a good savoury or savaloy dip joint, Iam back home next week and the jackie whites market ones have gone rapidly down hill of late...
Syd, this is an amusing story but within it is a serious point that I don't think we can get away from -Bruce has lost a portion of the fans (if not a majority, I'll let others argue on this point) and in my experience it's impossible for manager to recover from this
Its a true story and my mate the butcher was fuming, he said that never before has he felt like this, now I'm sure I have heard that before
