What a disaster he has turned out to be. He never wanted to be here IMO, which speaks volumes of the man and his priorities because he’s never played for a club of this size before and never will again.

It’s one thing being messed about by mercenaries in the Premier League, quite another having League One dross like Will Grigg stinking the place out.

Nobody forced him to come? He should have thought about where he was moving to before he signed his lucrative contract. Whether he's happy living up North or not theres no excuse for not trying and making an effort for your employers that are paying you a huge wage. Im sure Offshore workers hate being away from their families aswell but if they went into work and didnt make an effort theyd be sacked.

Newcastle have a similar situation with Isaac Hayden but he's one of their best players still. Just goes to show the difference in professionalism.

Can't see how he can actually play for the club again, reading between the lines, LJ has basically said that he's not doing enough in training to be considered for the first team
As others have said, it is rare for a manager to be so damning about a contracted player. Shows Johnson has a brutal side which is needed in his profession. Cant see him ever featuring again.

Earlier this week I was suggesting he might chip in with a few from the bench and other posters put me right. Shows what I know eh <laugh>

Hayden is a cracking young player.
Hopefully he's exactly the kind of signing we are looking at in future and not the Griggs of this world
Deemed not good enough by Arsenal but developed to prove everyone wrong.
