A few things for the burge-haters to be encouraged by in here. Says both that “there is plenty of room for improvement” in the goalkeeping environment at Sunderland, and “regardless of what the club do recruitment-wise…” we are well stocked. both comments suggest to me that the club haven’t closed the door on a new keeper. I guess it remains lower down priority list but still something they will do if the right keeper becomes available.
Jebbison is in Sunderland, even been sent photo evidence. Obviously a good sign. Fingers crossed it’s the finishing touches of his move.
Is Said photo evidence date stamped? .... no offence but we all know he has been up and around Sunderland recently .. does the photo you have seen confirm to you 100% that it was taken today??
I was sent photo in trust, someone else is in it so I won’t share on here. I don’t know if anything is imminent but from what I’ve been told Jebbison sounded like it isn’t but that could just be him being careful with that he says. Strange to be up here twice minimum.
From what a few have said including @Prehab26 it sounds like he's been up and down here like a yoyo so it wouldn't surprise me.
Hopefully just being coy. Like you say, he's had his look around, been to the stadium and training ground so I can't think of much other reason to be up here again other than to finalise a deal and have a medical etc. Either way, him being up here suggests that Sheff Utd would be willing to send him here over other options, that's what I foresaw as the biggest hurdle so that would be a massive positive for me.
Grigg has got to be one of the worst transfers we've made. Reading Lee Johnson's interview this morning he's pretty much said he's not giving 2 fks in training. He said he's made it clear he wants to be back near the midlands close to his family. Just shows how bad our recruitment was spending a fortune on a player that never wanted to be here. If the player doesn't want to be here then just fk them off. Don't buy the 'he wants to do well at sunderland' or ' he just needs a run of games and goals', he doesn't want to be here. LJ's comments pretty much confirm that. Hope we can shift him before deadline.
Not only is the bloke earning a fortune but he’s also restricting what the club can do elsewhere. If he isn’t putting it in leave him off the bench and restrict his appearance fees and get his disrespect away from the first team. It must be frustrating for the lesser paid and the kids on the fringes to see him drifting around half arsed and still getting a game but happy to pick up his money. Yes it is the clubs fault he is aid so much but at the very least he should try and earn it. Absolute ****er.
