Their season or ours? He'll be back in November if theirs.

This is translated from the Degerfors website:

“The loan agreement extends throughout the Swedish season, with the option of extension.”

So I guess there’s a possibility it could be end of our season or maybe even turned into an 18-month loan (providing he signs a new deal with us as his current one expires in the summer).

Unfortunately, appointing our new manager on a short term contract means that players like Winks and Dier and possibly Ndombele can think that they can hang around and wait for the next chump to take over. Maybe he will see things differently and they will be back in the team?

Poch's cull of the summer of 2015 was helped by him having been awarded a 5 year contract. It was obviously a rebuilding job and he was being properly backed, over an extended period, to get that right. Regrettably, giving Nuno 2 seasons sends the message that Levy has no faith in the bloke and he's just holding the role until PSG sack Poch.

I think that the difference in the length of their contracts is almost entirely down to the positions that they were in when they were hired.
Pochettino had to be convinced to leave another Premier League club, who wanted to extend his contract there.
NES was unemployed, having been let go by Wolves after a disappointing season. We had to offer Pochettino more.

Yes, that's my point. He has to prove that he's worth it. Mourinho got 4 seasons on his contract, Poch got 5. 2 seasons is probably what Watford give at their revolving managerial door.

Nuno got the job because of a shortage of suitable candidates. It’s no secret he was about 8th or 9th choice.

Nice guy and steady hand for short term but I can’t see him being manager for more than 2 seasons and in all honesty I hope he isn’t.

I hope he is on the basis that if he is offered an extension I assume that he will have done a decent job.

He’s got a tough job on his hands, rebuilding a squad that needed a lot of work and the transfer market has made it so hard to get rid of 4-5 that aren’t anywhere near the level required if Spurs want to get back into the top 4. Time will tell if he’s up to it but I fear for him if Spurs don’t start well.

Aurier's in the last year of his contract so he's going whether he wants to or not. Of course, Paratici sorting out a deal for Tomiyasu would force the issue

Sissoko somehow getting on Milan's radar is both mystifying and also worth trotting out the All Or Nothing memes out once more

In terms of Kane’s departure and what follows, I think we’re gonna see a merry-go-round next week or so. I’ll be surprised if Levy leaves it until the death this time. The whole will he/won’t he play against City is all a cover up for something massive that’s brewing underneath, IMO. I’ll be amazed if Kane plays.
Personally I think a deal for Martinez is much closer than is being reported, but it’s being deflected at the moment due to the news Inter fans have had about just how bad the finances are. They’re probably hoping that a week or 2 for the dust to settle, plus a couple of signings will help whats to come.
Inter have already got Dzeko, and are rumoured to be in talks with a couple more strikers. I’m convinced both us and city are playing a waiting game whilst they hunt to find replacements for Martinez. As soon as they have, the pace will gather on us signing Martinez and Kane going to city.

It obviously doesn’t get any easier losing Kane, but as long as we can find the right replacements to give us quality and balance, it could be interesting next season. For a long time we’ve been quite predictable opposition, and looked clueless with no plan B on many occasions. As a fan it’s been very frustrating to watch. - I know Mourinho was the main factor in this, but there were many times I felt the same under Poch.
Some new attackers (providing they adapt and are actually decent) gives our opponents something new to think about. We become a bit more of an unknown, where as over the last 2-3 seasons it’s felt like teams don’t even need to do their homework in preparation for a game vs Spurs.

As fans, this could make an exciting proposition for the new season as we watch us under Nuno.

However, we seriously need to get rid of some of these players who just seem to linger. Until we part ways, the change will never be as good as we could hope for.

Cirkin thanks Tottenham in his first interview at Sunderland. It's towards the end of the video.
