Maybe he wants Sunderland fans to know he is not harking back to when he was at a premier league club? Not sure it's petulant tbf
By any measure he had it tough last year. Suffered a bad injury then lost his father soon after returning. Could well be he feels that the club didn't support him enough through it all as they were all too busy stocking the canteen for Ndombele.
He was close to getting into our first team rotation a while ago, but then he got a bad injury. His dad passed away last year too, so he's had a rough time over the past 18 months or so. Hopefully the change and a run in the team will be good for him and he'll get back to form. Big things were expected of him. He's still got plenty of time to do them.
One of our best prospects mate. Had a really rough year though, lost his dad and had a few injuries. Was also in an unfortunate situation too in that we have three first team LBs at the moment so his path was really blocked but I think he’s a Premier League player in the making.
Thats really good to know mate. For us to sign a top prospect from a club like Spurs is a major coup in League 1.
It's a video on Insta. Tanguy has pinched the captain's armband and Aurier is filming him, joking that he is now the captain of Tottenham. I'm all for players having a laugh but when you're a record signing who has barely done anything in 2 years and wasn't trusted with a single minute of pre season, maybe that isn't the best look.
Two pieces of information i.) Homme Du Match is a football rumour site, not a dating app ii.) They claim we have made an offer of €20m for Sander Berge rejected, as Sheffield United want closer to €25m (aka we offered £16m, Sheff Utd want £21m) Looks like Paratici is casting his net given the last couple of days CMs: Aouar, Ward-Browse DMs: Zakaria, Berge, Brozovic, Palhinha
Hopefully it's been kept hidden so as not to anger mackems when it transpires that Levy inserted a 90% sell-on fee and also an option to exercise a buy-back clause and bring him back in exchange for a packet of Jacob's cream crackers.
Looks like we can tick Vestegaard off the list, set to join Leicester to help cover Fofana’s injury absence. Can’t say I’m too disappointed. Would’ve been an “okay” signing but nothing else in my opinion. Though cue him becoming another Leicester transfer success and being the next van Dijk or something.
