Scott was terrible in the first half, but I thought he improved a bit as the game went on and I still think there's a decent player in there somewhere. Eaves was just as bad in both halves. I also thought Fleming was really poor, he seems to be going backwards. I was a bit disappointed Jacobs didn't play, he really impressed me against Mansfield. Our cashless stadium didn't get close to managing to serve everyone at half time and there was barely anyone there.
Cashless Deepdale was no different on Saturday...4.05 I got my luke warm can of cider poured into a plastic tumbler.
.......forgetting to say that the 'round' of drinks was on the house because the card machine wouldn't take someone's card and they refused to take that old fashioned folding stuff called cash.
He is young so a lot of time to develop I guess. Is it the system he doesn’t suit or has the level being a major jump up for him combined with a lack of game time? Are we a club that can be overly patient I don’t think we can be now we are out of the League Cup so unless it’s under 23’s where is he going to develop? I’m guilty of being a **** more often than not but I fear any injuries to our current front three and we are fooked.
It was at my dentists* yesterday, sign on the counter read "card payments only". Their card reader didn't work so it was cash only. *Rovertiger, there's no truth in the 'boarding up my gob' rumour.
Was watching Scott closely yesterday. Happy to keep laying it off all time, as was Eaves st Laurent. Unlike KLP, whose self-belief and lust for goals is sky high. Like Bowen happy to play out wide but given half an opening he will cut in and ping it into the corner. Constantly llooking to do that. Maybe loan out Scott to League 1 in Scotland to let him get his touch and self-belief back, He looks very low on morale right now.
See, there's another phrase I've never really grasped. Even if they're false, they're pretty much guaranteed to be your own, unless you rent them or picked the wrong wet up out of the bathroom.
I used to work near the tripe factory on Sitwell Street, off Cleveland street, when the truck turned up with tons of cows belly, you knew because of the smell, the only other comparable smell was the Whale Oil we used to waterproof barge covers with, disgusting.
