At least we should have the problem position of LB sorted imminently and Winchester seems to be solid cover at RB.
Getting it doesn't seem to build up any immunity to it either, although I suppose the answer will be it's a different strain.
Seems as though the vaccine is only effective against delta variant if the person has had 2 does. Having said that, speaking from personal experience, you can still get it and feel like crap for a couple of weeks
Vaccine doesn’t pretend to stop you getting it, it lowers symptoms and slows transmission as your antibodies kick in faster. Also, antibodies on estimate last 6-8 months they saying, hence the plans for booster jabs. Its like a cold, you can get 2-3 a year.
I think all the people that are moaning on about not enough signings yet need to actually look at the quality we have brought in. Yes in comparison to some teams we haven't made a lot but look at who we have released and who we've replaced them with. We've had comments about how the club is a shambles, if they can't see how much more professional the set up we have shows how clueless they are. I don't think I've been this excited about the future since Quinn and co got out the magic carpet
We have had to have quantity over quality in the past because we chose cheap options of buying players with injury records like Steve O. Having a bulked up squad is fine, if your first 11 aren't mummified on a regular basis
There's a novelty by the way. KLD, Speakman et al may have realised the way forward and to be sustainable is to invest in higher league players and a buy back clause rather than too many loans. People have been saying for long enough that we are acting small time, the club might just be shaking off that tag and working professionally at the level the club should be. Or its a one off..............
This. He's on a totally different level to anybody else that has ever played for us in my lifetime. His opinions will never ever change the way most of us view him. One of the greatest ever Sunderland legends. Only 2nd behind Charlie Hurley, for me. I wasn't around for the king but my grandparents made sure I always knew about him and I'll go the same way with my kids telling them about Super Kev and his achievements at Sunderland.
He wrote this really touching message to his dad on his Instagram page. His dad was obviously his rock and a huge influence on his young career
Shìt, poor lad Must be a strong willed character. Feels like we are really building a good team of players.
