Same old story, so in 2 games so far this season we can’t beat a team in L1 last season, and L2. Not good signs, especially conceding goals past the 90 min mark in both games..
I wonder who will get the blame for that .. Naff cup anyway.. let’s make sure we keep our championship status.
The worst part is tonight is not a surprise. Not sure of ffp but we need a great dollop of quality added to our squad. Pros on the way down won't rescue our predicament.
90+3 last match. 90+6 this match. Forgive me for saying this Nigel but it looks like some of them need a good swift kick up the arse because this has been a seasons long issue and it needs elimination right now. I have this strange feeling that all is not well with what's happening and I'm concerned that someone or someone's nose is out of joint to the point of affecting team bonding and subsequent results. The next few matches should tell us a lot about where the player's minds are at the moment plus offer us a much better opportunity to rate individual players and overall performances.
The veggies won, bad result, bad loss but thank god it was the EFL cup, NP gave players a chance to shine tonight, some did, some failed, the big challenge is league football, don't let's make up our minds yet it's too early, 1 league draw proves nothing, NP is finding out our weaknesses, they won't be playing in the next game that's for sure. I'm sticking for the old test, 10 league game, end of the transfer window, then we will see where we stand.
Well let's put it this way:- Kalas 8mil Taylor Moore 1.5mil Joe Williams 1.5mil Massengo 7mil Adam Nagy 3.5mil Nakhi Wells 4mil Kasey Palmer 3.5mil Tyreeq Bakinson 750k Close to 30mil in total either started or came on as subs. None of them signed by the present manager. 1 of them signed by the previous manager and has been injured since the day we signed him. Holden was allowed to sign 1 player and Pearson 1 for money and only Bakinson would come even close to the fee that we paid for him, that is the reality. Somebody is to blame.
Seems like the coach we had in charge a while ago didn't do such a bad job after all........ (couldn't find a fishing rod)!!
You are having a laugh. 30 mils worth of signings many of them responsible for him being sacked and then got Holden sacked, most cannot even get into the first team and perhaps tonight shows everybody why most of them cannot get into the first team and why we would be lucky to get fees for any of them, I think the chant is "what a waste of money". You don't need a fishing rod, you actually believe he did a good job wasting 30mil on what is pretty much our second string.
It's clear to all, even those who hide behind fishing rods, that the squad inherited by Pearson was poor. Pearson has brought in pros on the way down and sooner or later he, and Lansdown, will realise that policy is doomed to fail. We somehow have to add quality very soon. Pearson also has to forget any difference he has with Kalas and start him alongside Baker and Atkinson this weekend.
Well under LJ, until he had key players sold off.......it wasn't great and at times, frustrating, but it was much better than what we have currently, in fact since he went, I'd say it's been a complete shambles.. It was always the case of, be careful of what you wish for, it could be a lot worse..........................................it's certainly not got any better....so far.. But I'm a reasonable guy, I will judge the situation after a good run of games to see if the haters and SL, justified their reasoning for booting out, the most successful manager we've had since AD.. Progress was the aim.....let's see where that takes us!! Go for it Jiff
