To be honest, it bugs the hell out of me that we don't get any form of recognition at all. Although I've noticed that if you watch the highlights again on the BBC website (on our match report page) you get a much more in depth highlights reel, which actually shows us to be more dominant. Under the radar is a daft statement, why on Earth would you want to keep doing well each week and have nobody say "fair play, they're doing well." Ok Stan down the pub might point it out, but some professional recognition wouldn't go amiss. Something I'll never forget was during our spell in the Premier League, we had a game against Manchester United on the Monday, think we lost 4-1. MoTD NEVER cover games from the previous week if it's just the odd one. Well they covered ours. As if to say, "Well we weren't going to bother, but let's humiliate them a bit more and show their defeat shall we?" Ok so it could have been because it was Manchester United, still stang. Or when we played Cardiff, two weeks ago, we were the winning team, top of the form table and going strong. What do they talk about? The daft penalty fiasco. It roughly translated as "Yeah well I think the referee did this.........*3 minutes of analysis later*..... and that's why it's the correct decision. Moving on to Leeds United..." Oh cheers mate, not even a "well done Hull". I don't want showers of praise heaped upon us week after week, just credit where credit is due. NP nominated for manager of the month, didn't hear about that either......
When I used "Under the radar", I meant it from the press/media point-of-view. Any other club, any fan following the League and results, will know what's happening. Sure - it'd be good to get the recognition but, hopefully, it'll become apparent what incompetents the press/media are. Personally, I don't mind if we go un-noticed by 'the great and the good'. It'll all be alright in the end.
Not true that we don' get a mention on Look North. I watched a bit tonight, ok it was just a general round up about the teams in the region but we do get some coverage from them. Agree about the League Show though. If I don't see it on the night I put it on Iplayer and am always disappointed that we only get a few seconds.
These two clowns should get to ****! Now this is what I'm talking about... please log in to view this image also... please log in to view this image
I'm sure i saw Levy with one of them birds walking about at that food market in Bev the other week. Perks of the trade and all that.
Keeley Donovan . All the jealous old hags in the office reckon she's boz eyed . My reply , " I 'd make her go boz eyed given half the chance " Truly bodacious .
Yeah Cruddas has got the jugs, but Donovan is always number one. Seeing her splashing around in the sea wearing a wetsuit on TV tonight, just confirmed that.
Inside Out. She was training as a lifeguard in Brid. Not the most glamorous of locations, but the key elements are; Keeley Donovan, splashing around in water and wetsuit
