Done it hundreds of times, it's a nice view yes but no point going out of your way unless you accept it'll take more time.
Sat nav is trying to tell me it takes 1 minute less to drive all the way to Warrington and then cut across via Chester but I'm not sure I trust it. Is that A470 a decent road as in you can do a steady 50-60mph or is it a muthafuka with loads of 30mph villages and twisty turns ?
Bollocks to that then. Might drive to Brum and then cut across, going all the way to fkin Liverpool sounds like my Sat Nav's idea of getting me back for calling it a **** the other day.

A470 is a nice route but can be very slow and not the best roads for overtaking. North of Brum M54, if you want to get there faster
Cheers ears. Think I'm gonna go A470 route through Brecon and head on up that way. I'm not really in a rush and I'll have the mutt with me, so will need to stop fairly frequently to take the dog for a piss etc. Will be nice to see some scenery en route rather than just motorway. Might come back the way you've suggested. The journey home is always a bit boring so happy to just get going on the way back.
A mix of decent roads and little villages. It's not terrible but you have to concentrate at times with some unexpected turns and a narrow bridge at one point and you are also going over a ****ing big hill.
Delaware and the Carolinas also have Welsh roots, and a party of Jackson County, Ohio, is called Little Wales. The Welsh language was spoken here widely until the 20th century. It still persists too: according to the 2010 American census, 135 people still speak Welsh. Breaker boys in Pennsylvania.
Just north of Dolgellau is Coed y Brenin, mtb paradise. Might be worth a coffee/dog stop, get a feel for the place for your next Welsh adventure
Thanks mate, appreciated. Got any recommendations for some easy peaks (child friendly) to do in Snowdonia ?
It's not too bad, it's just not direct. Loads of zig zags. Elan Valley area is beautiful for a stop over or detour. There's also a Red Kite area near Llangurig (I think), which I don't think you've many of in Cornwall? Trawsfynydd good to see, then you could always call in on Matth in Blaenau Ffestiniog. Lovely road!
