My ambition in football is for us to get to the Premier League whilst being entertained. I will enjoy it if it happens. Probably not going to happen anytime soon though. But if we get there, then what? ****e, thats what! I'm hoping football swallows itself up from within first. I'd have thought our demise would have hurt me. 10-15 years ago it would have, I was football daft. It doesnt now. I'd say I'm more slightly embarrassed, but what you gonna do? Evidence for me that football for me has lost its sting. I barely watch it now, get bored. If not for forums like this on the internet I wouldnt have a clue whats going on. I prefer listening or reading about it, peoples views etc. But watching it? Zzzzzzzzzz!!!! As a supporter I'm like a recovering alcoholic. The highs dont feel as high, and the lows dont ruin your life! I prefer it that way, for my own insanity.

We were close to bankruptcy trying to keep up with the Jones's. Constantly using sticky plasters in our pursuit to finish 4th off bottom. Being run by an absent owner relying on people who didnt know what they were doing. That being the case I'm settling for our position at the mo. Fresh start, still have a club to focus an interest onto. Financially stable. I'm expecting us to be in the Championship within a season or 3. After that? God knows. Maybe we'll get promoted to the Premier League again, spend a fortune on mercenaries in order to compete. Fail, and sit on the verge of bankruptcy again. What fun!

Getting away from the banter for a minute, I truly hope the whole PL thing implodes. Absolutely ****e as a contest. Everyone reveres Leicester like its something to be proud of. It ****ing isn't. The league should be competitive and openly so. All of the leagues should be. I've said for ages there should be no financial reward connected to winning the league or your league placing. The winning and sporting reward should be enough.

The TV money should be split evenly across clubs. The whole sponsorship set up should be central thing with sponsors rotated around teams. Every club should have an annual limit they can spend transfer wise, a wage cap, you carry forward spend if you have a particularly great season with young players coming through. Buying/signing young players from other clubs academies in the same league as you should be banned.

All of these things won't happen of course because the cabal wouldn't have it. But they would contribute massively to equalising the league and making it a sporting competition again. We've sold out to the point when rich men and corporate giants through sponsorship are running the game. Absolute idiocy.

Unless of course we get taken over by the Saudis, in which case **** the above, I'd thoroughly enjoy us upsetting the applecart

Nah honestly football lost its lustre for me ages ago. I travelled all over watching games, never missed a home game, but its slowly eroded away. Its great when you are the ones lauding it and up there like we were under SJH. But really as fans, we should really want an equal sporting competition. Everyone will get well paid anyway, its just pure greed.

 

It's about time this turd was banned from our board.

 

Or you could just carry on doing what you are doing and keeping us entertained. It will be a lot easier.
