agreed. i sincerely doubt we will hear any more consequences despite their attitudes which are awful. The reason being that uefa are likely to put all 3 out of business if they do push anything.
Well, buying a 33 year old with a dodgy injury history is poor. The hierarchy at Barca have much to answer for.
brilliant plan this give a contract to a player who you are not allowed to register in your league squad only to then find he is out injured even if by some miracle enough is sliced off the wage bill to enable him to be registered
According to Brand Finance, here's what Messi's departure from Barcelona could cost them: €137M in brand value. €17M on match-days. €43M in sales of shirts/merchandise. €77M in business revenue. Do they take into account fans still buying merchandise that isn't Messi related into this?
I don’t follow Spanish togger that closely, but am I right in assuming that this season has seen the introduction of a new wages to turnover cap, and that’s the issue here? Or is that rule merely part of the terms of that £2.3BN buy in offer for 10% of the league?
Brand value is not so simple to calculate and like you say, true supporters will simply buy another shirt….unless this figure is the difference. Messi is worth €270m to Barca according to this. I wonder if this is per year or over a contract…..if it’s per year, on an operating income of €700m, I’m inclined to call BS.
Didn’t they decline the buy in as they’d have to give up a % of their TV rights? I’m not sure if this is new or it’s just the outcome of Covid ravaging their income tbh…..either way, they’ve been run by a bunch of muppets.
It's a revision of barca cap that is due to their massive losses last season. It is not brand new bit barca have ignored this coming. He should have been signed up last year when he decided to stay to avoid the issue.
Grealish claims he teared up like messi (clearly needs some media love) How long would you give him before he kisses the city badge? 1 game? 2? I suppose it depends on him scoring a goal
