I assume the Allams will see it as a £500k handout as opposed to a loan. IF we can stay in the Championship without paying it back, then fair enough, but it will be an expensive loan if we fail to stay up.
Let’s not pretend this loan was anything other than an excuse to not spend any money. Put on a plate.
Yes,it's a marvellous gesture from the players and staff to offer their services for nothing this season...cap doffed
How many Championship clubs have spent a transfer fee this summer and how many have a positive net spend?
We were never likely to spend a fee this summer anyway. Any increase in budget from L1 would always be wages. Bit ridiculous to think Ehab might think he needs an excuse. He calls the shots. Lump it.
From that, it looks like 6 clubs have spent money and just 4 have a positive net spent. It just shows how tight money is this year
Q. Why have no clubs gone in for Cauley Woodrow from Barnsley. Would do a decent job for a low level prem or top Champ side.
Their asking price was in the region of £10m. He's out of contract this season, so that would probably come down a bit.
Not sure how accurate that is, Bristol City down as spending nothing, but the Atkinson transfer is unknown, so they spent something there.
imagine your team signing Messi though , whatever you think of the finanaces, etc i stayed up until nearly 1am to confirm we had Ben Arfa , never mind Messi
