Why does that matter? The taking of the knee on Saturday was not political. That much is clear to the less stupid amongst us

For what it's worth, my opinion!! The taking of the knee was reflecting the murder of George Floyd, which of course, an act which was totally unacceptable and should have been prevented. But I think there are many people that feel uncomfortable with the fact GF was not what you call a role model with several convictions for various crimes etc. To be hailed a hero IMO was a step too far.....
Anything else to reflect the BLM movement, I think would have been more acceptable and I believe less controversial...
    But hey, I'm a F***ing idiot anyway!! :emoticon-0105-wink:

lets have it then. the taking of the knee started in grounds over here with BLM. EPL/EFL/Football Clubs/SKY went down on it like something from the Parkside in Arnos Vale cemetry. they were all over BLM until as you posted not me they realised something. what was it they realised?? what is it they want nothing to do with now?

I don't think you are grasping the situation. I'm talking about idiots or racists booing their own players on Saturday, 2 days ago, which not wanting to confuse you further is quite close to the present and not in the past. These people are booing a non political gesture, now when you put a non in front a word it means not the same or opposite. You are talking about something that is political, you see something different to non political. I hate politics so I don't want get involved in a conversation regarding politics.

you cant answer a ? about your own post. you cant even say that the kneeling orignally was political only might be politcal or may have been but hey ho i am confused. meanwhile you will call people 110% stonewall idiots stupid and racist. all a sudden you know a lot about whats in people minds you know really nada about. you hate politics but it was the clubs and football and its authorities who got balls deep into BLM being idiots and stupid.

Then they realised BLM was munter. too late youve been balls deep in it and told all your mates. everybody knows everybody heard told the world the sketch. days later balls are swelling and having a piss hurts so much your screaming youve caught something but its all too late deeds is done.

so taking the knee will always forever be linked to BLM ****ty politics because that is the 110% stonewall fact of where it started. still is fact now all day.

people who boo that are not racists and to call anybody that without backing it up and you cant is out of order.

Sigh, at least I know where to place you in the Idiot/Racist list as you are still talking about politics when referring to a non political gesture.

It's what taking the knee ordinated from wasn't it? And then BLM kicked off didn't it? I think it's why some people choose to boo. I believe change the gesture and they wouldn't..

All this bantering about racism will never solve a single thing because trying to find the right way to stop this is somewhat akin to trying to solve the Afghanistan instability or peace in the Middle East. The answers will never come until all concerned sit down and air out their individual issues and discuss them openly and honestly with true determination and effort to finally deal with it and put it to bed once and for all.

Whilst the rockets rain down on innocents in Syria and the Taliban murder anyone and everybody the madness will continue and if you think that racial harmony is a different kettle of fish then you are fooling yourself. Harmony in any of the aspects of our lives takes common sense and a true desire to do everything possible to eradicate a blot on all our societies but the sad reality is that the vast majority of the people treat the issue with apathy and contempt. All of the issues surrounding racial hatred and intolerance have been around forever and if you don't believe me remember the words of Martin Luther King.

"I have a dream" And I am sorry to say that so many still have that dream but we all need to sleep and dream about it to make it reality.
