Excellent performance from the lads and i think were about 3 or 4 signings from walking this league. We look a completely better team than last season, and thats mainly down to us not hoofing it up to Wyke. Evans is a big upgrade on Leadbitter and having ONien back in midfield in place of Scowen is a a big factor aswell. Embleton feels like a new signing aswell and you can see how much hes improved as a player. @Vincemac. I saw you at halftine mate. I shouted you from the bar but you didnt hear me.
I thought it was abit harsh on Power for the abuse he recieved. He didnt ask to leave and he also sent us all a nice fairwell message. All he's doing is moving on with his career by going to Wigan after being released. He always tried his best for us but unfortunately his best was very rarely good enough. On the flip side, i loved hearing Wyke getting a hammering from the fans.
TBF mate, he didn't seem too upset when he was punching the air, and shouting at the Sunderland fans, when they scored.
Thought Wyke would have got a better reception too mind. Not that I’m complaining coz he’s an absolute knacker, along with his brother.
It’s madness really. To have more in attendance than Sheffield United who’ve just spent 2 seasons in the PL…
They have Wednesday in L1 while we have Newcastle in the PL. This was a game against a big club and they couldn't crack 30k.
Can't recall it being mentioned but assume KLD was at the match and wonder how impressed or otherwise he might have been after the match. Someone usually puts up a picture or two of him in the stands but nothing so far.
They have rarely beat 25k average attendance mate. I know a few Sheff utd fans and they are cracking supporters they just dont have that massive following. Sheff wed are only a little bit better in terms of fan numbers. Two city club factor maybe. If you think a city like Sheffield has a big population though then you might expect both to be better supported in numbers.
I know mate, they both get decent crowds, just pisses me off when people pull our support down as if it's no big deal. Our support is excellent.
I am with you there mate. We are up there with the best in the country. If big club status was based on fans we would be top 10. Our away support has always been immense, the amount of lads say to me your support is mental...
It is without a doubt. The clowns in national media who dismiss our support concentrate on the amount of empty seats rather then the actual attendees for some utterly bizarre reason. Anyway stuff them - the buzz is just about starting to return - a couple of good signings and an unbeaten run and things will really be rocking in the very near future.
Some were saying he was shushing Sunderland fans when they scored and Wyke giving the middle finger. I actually would expect it from Wyke but surprised at Power.
