In Hull city centre on Saturday there was a bunch of folks walking around handing out flyers about "Hunting for grooming gangs in Hull". I assumed they were looking to expose them rather than join.

If I had been wearing my xenophobic racist jacket, I would have told them where to look.

Go on the Hull City Council website and get a list of councillors. Scan down the list to the ones that have names suggestive of a country that used to be part of the Empire in the sub-continent. Go to the wards those councillors represent as your grooming gangs live there. Or you could look down the list of holders of taxi licences for similarly non East Yorkshire sounding names.

 

The government does not conduct rape prosecutions. That is the preserve of the Crown Prosecution Service (the clue is in the name).

Unless I am much mistaken the law of the land still requires that the accused is innocent until proven guilty. If there is insufficient evidence to obtain a conviction then some guilty people will get away with law breaking.

Once upon a time we had a Director of Public Prosecutions who ordered the department not to go too heavily on Muslims for fear that it might lead to claims of Islamophobia. I wonder what that man is doing now...
