Oh and PS the majority of those who sign on are neds who get tax payers money

Those in the army are neds who get tax payers money who get praised for rape and murder

They sure do make a difference alright <oK>

Actually you are right they do kill many of their own with friendly fire - thus getting rid of some neds from the world

the minority of the people we're fighting in afghan are extremists. they dont give a **** about anyone other than people who fully accept their fairly narrow interpretation of islam. then you've got the taliban who are less interested in blowing up subways than they are taking over afghanistan an inforcing their own narrow (but not quite as narrow) interpretation of islam, the rest are $10 taliban and just doing it because they are skint, coerced or effectively hostages.

it would be cheaper in british lives and taxpayers money to pull out of afghan and just increase security at home. some will get through but some will always get through.

What threat were they to Britain before the invasion of Afghanistan & Iraq?

Saddam Hussein & Bin Laden are 2 opposites in the muslim world, action from the West has seen all muslims join up to fight the west. Al-Queda hated Iraq because of their kind of secular state, now they are fighting for it!!

al queda arent fighting for iraq, they're fighting for their own agenda and are more interested in seeing western foreign policy fail so try and start civil wars between religious factions. al queda in iraq killed far more iraqi civilians than it ever did iraqi/coalition security forces

Thats my point LR. When Saddam was in charge they left Iraq well alone & had no business there, the wests invasion has given them a route to the country to spread their extreme views further a field.

i'm sure i read somewhere that al queda actually fought against iraq in kuwait during the gulf war. iraq is a ****ing joke (it did pay off my student overdraft though <ok>), we should never have gone there. i actually think afghan was the right thing to do as they we harbouring terrorist training camps. if i was cynical (<laugh>) i'd say we should've gone in, gutted the camps and ****ed off blowing everything to **** as we left but we decided to stay, rebuild and make sure the taliban (who really are a bunch of ****s btw) didnt come back. i'd say the main mistakes were trying to impliment western style democracy and really not putting enough money and diplomatic effort into it (the iraq bonazza sidelined it a bit).
