They didn't get the ball into him from wide once. The quality we got to him from many players produced goals. Their right winger in first half murder Neil but never once got it to Wyke. He'll only get goals if service is right. Thankfully for us today it wasn't.
hmm, what did i expect? think i was expecting power to have one of his better games of the season, feeling he would put himself about a lot and try to get a foothold in the middle, apart from shouting at the ref he was hardly involved. wyke, i honestly thought he would be running about looking for the ball and trying to 'prove a point' somehow, as it was he was kept quiet by our defence and did not really move away from central, much as he did when he played for us, actually. evans and onien worked well together and showed how a central pairing should play, nowt too flash just won the ball and passed it, broke up play and kept it simple while ross stewart showed how a 'front man' should operate, always moving, winning balls and holding the ball up, bringing others into play.
The unsubstantiated gossip is we offered £7k pw, Smoggies £8k pw and Wigan £10k pw. So if I was Charlie it was a no brainer as to which offer to accept. What I would like to see is us to bring a new SKP, to play alongside Stewart the new Quinny!
I’m not sure he had him in his pocket mate but when Wyke or any other ****a tried to rough him up the 17 year old brick ****house just got up and got on with his game. Totally unphased, good on the ball and confident to organise senior pros. His career is gonna be superb on my limited knowledge of him.
Pauls Kensdick different tune now remember you lot lording we stole him, chickens , home , roost ring a bell Hawayi 5 and 0
just let them get on with it, someone saw his goals scored last season and looked no further...according to rumours earlier even the smoggies did not want to pay what wigan offered. unless they learn to aim the ball directly at his feet or head while he is in the right position he will struggle to get goals, simples.
He didn't look a bit like a football player today tbh ... ... reminded me of the old days when a bloke in the crowd would be an emergency linesman.
Listened to the radio commentary yesterday, Wyke mentioned only four times, each time for committing a foul.
