I feared Wyke would get one over on us but it was a typical performance from him - absolutely anonymous. He was bullied by a 17 year old.

    cheers again RTB...

happy with that, the obvious weaker area of our left side was a target as expected, don't think dan did too bad but hopefully have a LB in for the next game.

we really lost our way when gooch dropped back as well, hope winch is ok, also geads went off around the same time, totally messed with our attack.

MOTM for me onien, he just seemed to pop up with vital tackles/winning the ball, kept the ball moving with nice and simple passes.

gooch deserved to score mind, nice to see geads and stewart off the mark.

oh aye, for all those who screamed at how wigan had done so much better than us, i guess the first half hour you had a point, after that though i never felt we were in any real danger (especially with wyke being..well, wyke)

Canny start that. Plenty of encouraging signs. Obviously things to work on but which team dont. Thought we had some good attacking play and you can see the style of play we are aiming for.

A good team performance, Embleton a step up from Power, Stewart leaps and bounds ahead of Wyke. Evans as good as Leadbitter but with more miles left in his legs, O'Nien adding a bit extra bite in midfield. Doyle played will for his first game and even Flanagan was decent. Winchester and Neil had decent games out of positions and Burge wasn't really troubled. Could you imagine what could happen if we sign more players during this transfer window?
