I've just posted all the information on the takeover thread that was a waste of my time So..... A jack Grealish transfer fee in wages each year. How??? The debt to Mike Ashley down by £4m yet no money taken out. How? We claimed £1m+ in furlough money We had an overall loss of £27m.
There was also an extra month in the season so we paid an extra £20m in wages so a total of over £120m in wages.
Average salary is £52k a week. Like what the ****. We have Dwight ****ty Gayle as our second striker.
Wages is 79% of income. I also assume they delayed it for all of July so they could include 2 July's worth of transfers making it look like we spent £76m that year when we didn't really.
All Of which I have predicted on the takeover thread. I said the reason he was delaying was because of bad news but 50m+ losses is just mind blowing and CANNOT be just because of Covid. I also said that it was the reason why we where not signing players. I also said it was the reason for the probability of selling ASM. What I do not understand is the serious hike of wages in the period. That doesn’t make sense to me!
Revalue the players values. So basically the players when signed the value is plopped on the balance sheet and released to the P and L over the length of that players contract. But when you revise the players value it is a straight hit to the P and L. So Joelinton was bought for 40m but now worth **** all. So a mahoosive hit.
No one wants bad news. And these accounts are bad news. They show that the business is not worth anywhere near 350m. @Roland Deschain has stayed this aswell and it’s right. Ashley has totally cocked up. If there is no Saudi takeover he can forget getting anywhere near 200m. Also and this is a key point- the CAT claim means he has devalued the company at the time when he had sold for 350m. The company looks like it’s worthless now. So the potential loss claim is increased.
This is a good point. But also makes you wonder why there isn’t 13 months of premiership income in. Matching principles.
Here’s another issue and what looks like an error in the accounts. we get 150m from the premier league every year. So 13/12 x £150m is £162m. So why is media income only £106m?
