Not the big signings we all wanted but better than I expected. Feel a bit better than I usually do on the eve of a new season.
I know we haven’t spent the big money that some wanted but there must be some realism applied to the current situation. Not many clubs are breaking the bank this year and we are just not in a position to do so. I would have liked a couple of very good championship professionals but they are not cheap especially forwards. Grant managed to build a team last year that did very well and I hope the new additions can add to that. I still say that the last time we were in the championship it turned out we had several chicken hearted players that let him down badly. I bet he has learned from that too and his new signings are all good team men.

It's miles better than the squad we had going into our last Championship season, I include Bowen & Grosicki in that too. I've no idea how that side was in touching distance of the play offs at Xmas, it was a really poor squad with 2 exceptions
He's s been in training all week. When the club chose to announce it has no bearing on when paperwork was submitted
How? Bowen & Grosicki made us competitive, the rest was largely dross and you can tell from where those departed have ended up.
Didn't matter how good they were if they weren't giving their best. I'd rather have this squad. Their hair might not be so good so good but they are fit to wear the shirt
