The Chairboys kick off their 2021/22 campaign at Adams Park against Stanley managed by John Coleman the last time the teams met was nearly 2 years ago which ended in a 1-1 draw at AP in front of a crowd of 3.5K and after a long wait for football I expect the crowd to be a lot bigger and also after winning only 5 out of our 23 meetings we will be looking to put the record straight 10 of those meetings have ended in a draw. Gaz has a multitude of riches at his disposal with competition in every position and I don't think I have ever said that before at the start of a season also we have yet to sign any loan players I am really looking forward to seeing Sam Vokes making his debut. I will be at AP along with the lad Blue Soldier anticipating a good game and getting our season off to a good start with a convincing win and the three points that go with it
Although iPlayer is "not available" in UK, of course it is My Norton 360 virus protection software comes with a VPN which allows me to watch BBC and ITV So if you have a VPN just switch it to France or somewhere outside UK and you should be able to view
Is the terrace still closed when I tried to book a ticket yesterday could not book one, going to watch from the comfort of the Frank Adams stand instead
No Kashket,Thompson,Gape and Taffa not even on the bench, they must be the players with niggling injuries Ainsworth was on about.
Not the line up or subs I expected but we did OK. McLeary always a danger, until he went off. Surprised Bayo came on; nearly scored straight away but after that the attack almost disintegrated. Mehmeti did well from the bench. Missed Taff. Where was our new big CB? Pendlebury did OK. Scowen was Scowen. Stewart usual reliable defender. Stockdale owned the penalty area; could do nothing about the unlucky deflection. At least we have 3 points in the bag, better than some who we would have expected to. It is going to be a tough season
Fred 2 assists and a goal for Luton Adeniran starts for Sheff W tonight I expect Uche to start for Middlesbrough tomorrow
Good win, a hairy last ten minutes though, I thought Bayo really didn't bring anything, I would have thought the signing from Blackpool would have been a better bet, & left Bayo for Tuesday at Exeter. If we are going to have a great season you have to make sure you beat the teams that are not in the betting for promotion, I can also see it being a season where the twelve teams in the betting for promotion could be where they take points of each other & it being very tight & a low final points tally. I could see why I couldn't get a terrace ticket it was probably sold out.
