Not really, we're pretty much back to living normal lives because our vaccination numbers are far higher than most of Europe. Dutch opened up than had to shut down again. Not going to happen here.
At guvUK I take it. We live in the Netherlands, unfortunately, the Dutch aren't keen on dual nationality so Jab retains her Indonesian citizenship, me my British. We both have permanent residence and can travel throughout Europe with our ID cards and vax certs. However individual countries can apply entry restrictions as they see fit. Given our circumstances, me being in a vulnerable group we're not going anywhere there may be crowds made up of people coming from many countries. We don't trust governments or individuals to take adequate precautions so follow our own regime.
Or a decrease as shown by the latest ONS numbers https://www.ons.gov.uk/peoplepopula...f401e4d458561c7c72acd45fa385b39ca2a60e5381018
Pick the source and timescale that suits, the numbers are unacceptabley high in particular the Delta varient which we in Europe are hoping to avoid.
im. Classed as vulnerable so Mrs J and me are doing nothing different . Can’t speak for lots of others though !
Yes, that's pretty universal. We're fortunate in that there's plenty of terrace bars and restos close by where safe distancing is practised. Mrs Jab is just home from work so heading for the Oude Sluys for a refreshing glass or two. Our friends here are also being cautious, well mostly there's one or two who believe whatever suits their social agenda not welcome in our house.
Yes and what are the population sizes of those countries? Spain has the largest population of those and is still 20million less than the UK. They were always going to catch up. EU has still made a horses arse of the the vaccination program.
It's the number that counts Tommy so the larger number of unvaccinated people the more chance of mutations hence the UK being described as a variant factory.
It's not limited to the UK. Idiocy is practised worldwide, there are covidiot conspiraloons everywhere, best avoided it's easy enough.
Anti-vaxxers have been trying to storm the BBC studios in White City. You know, the BBC Studios that they vacated in 2013, and that are now flats...
I still wear my mask in indoor public places, or even outdoor areas if it's really busy. Going to my first live music this evening at the Joiners which is a Covid passport event so won't wear a mask inside for the first time for that which will be quite an alien experience I think.
Been having a pointless argument on my Facebook page about vaccines with Right Said Fred. How's your evening going?
