Great thread RTB great to see them back again. Feels like an eternity since I started getting excited for the match. Feeling positive for the season, plenty of work to do strengthening the squad but I’m sure that will be sorted soon. Can’t wait to get back to the SOL and just take in the atmosphere meet friends again and have a normal Saturday again. 3-1 for me and off to a flyer. KTF.
A quick count on the Ticketmaster site and we are 10 tickets away from having a completely sold out Roker End for tomorrow.
Absolutely buzzing now, phone has been on overtime this last 24 hours. I shall ensure I get in sharp enough, reckon it will be busy with teething problems at the ticket readers.
It’ll be a strange one for Wigan fans tomorrow. It’s usually only a couple of mini busses full they bring up here.
Everyone starts a new season full of optimism and I'm no different. Expect to be like that come 5pm so come on lads, deliver the goods.
Being an older Sunderland fan does tend to drive preseason optimism out of you, what with flying starts being a rarity for the club. Even though I'm not all aglow with the sunshine of new season optimism, that doesn't mean I'm not full of hope for the season. The transfer window is still open, there is plenty of time to make up for any slow start and there is still a January transfer window to come. The target is to finish the season in a promotion place and I am optimistic that we have a great chance of doing that.
"Pritchard could be involved, depending on the stage of the game and scoreline" sounds like he will be on bench
