I was thinking more that Harry wasn't in the running for it. City made their priorities very clear but Hazza was too dim to understand it
Gutted about Cirkin potentially leaving on a permanent. Jose and Poch had high hopes for him but he has really suffered with injuries. Maybe a loan would of been better but then again His pathway into the first team is tough with Reguilon, Davies and Sessegnon in front of him.
Would have thought the #10 shirt was reserved for Kane. #9 already taken. I wonder what we can read into that.
West Ham are in talks with Milenkovic. He’s one of the players we’re supposedly looking at for our 2nd CB signing.
6 goals/10 assists = 100 mill 37 goals/18 assists = 300 mill Gonna be one hell of an apology when Kane finally returns to Spurs for pre season
While it’s an interesting exercise to see the reasoning laid out like this, I also frankly think it’s a bit embarrassing. The player isn’t bigger than the club, no matter who the player is. I don’t mind seeing a club put out a statement outlining a player’s release clause being met or whatever, but the CEO delivering a 5 minute eulogy is like a man watching his woman go off with her lover and wishing her the best. It’s pandering to the fans who want this kind of content so they can share it on social media, and I think it’s unedifying for the club to do it. Grealish had ambitions that extended beyond what Villa were able to deliver, so he signed a new contract with a release clause and ultimately left. The club moves on. If Kane and his hapless agent had the foresight to do the same then he might have got his move, if clubs would pay the clause. I hope to god that Levy or Paratici never stoop so low as to film an apology video to the fans for selling a player. Ultimately management represent the mentality of the club and while it’s good for fans to get the detail of how circumstances pan out, this sort of stuff just doesn’t sit well with me.
Sounds like Romero won’t need to spend time quarantining according to some reports, be great if true. We know he flew in last night so I wonder if he’s able to train today and tomorrow with the small possibility of getting some minutes on Sunday?
City apparently now looking to sell Bernardo Silva. Him + Cancelo + £90m and they can have Kane. That'll solve two glaring holes in the team and leave us £90m to sign a new striker plus back up. The biggest issue here is them trying to flog us players we don't actually need such as Jesus and Sterling.
