Not really Yorkie. The club are just paving the way for letting the world know that they have signed you as a replacement for Sarr.
Sounds very much like it. It has gone a bit quiet on the Chabs front but the media all seem to think Hughes is off - I reckon things have gone past the point of no return.
I think his agent is to blame rather than him, and the presumed sticking point in the contract, a pay drop in the event of relegation, is just pure agent greed in my opinion. No loyalty to the club, even though they continued to pay wages through the pandemic with a limited income. Made all the more galling by the fact that the club looked after his agent when he had that stabbing injury 20 years or so ago. I guess it's the way of the world these days.
Duxbury (excuse spelling) said we'd only sign young hungry players or players who'd improve the team (with Prem experience, I think it was) correct me if I am wrong here. But, our midfield: Cleverley is 30+ and injury prone Gosling ditto Louza might be off to AFCON & unknown in Prem Etbo ditto Zinc doubt he is Prem standard Quina needs to prove a lot TDB ditto (Might have missed players here, but see Hungbo, Sema, as front players IMHO) Above don´t really form a midfield of Prem standards to me. At least we have improved our attack. We really need one of Chabs or Hughes to stay. Kucka at 34 smacks of a last minute deal before the wondow shuts, not a signing now. Bet he's great after I've said that!
Paolo Vernazza. He and his friend and former Arsenal team-mate were both stabbed during a robbery in his home. From memory, he was out for a couple of months because of it - his mate, whose name escapes me, wasn't so lucky & had to give up football due to his injuries. Oddly enough, his mate is now a football agent too - or was five years ago.
Which is why I don't understand that the plan is to send both TDB and Quina out on loan - especially TDB. Disagree about Zinck - I think the Premiership will suit him more than the Championship did. But all is not lost - apparently, and despite reports to the contrary, we are still in the hunt for Morten Thorsby of Sampdoria. And we've just signed that 17/18 year old Yankee wonderkid who is a midfielder. It does seem that we have a strange problem though - when we have a strong midfield, we also have either a weak attack or a weak defence, when we have a strong attack, our midfield is lacking. One day, the recruitment team will get the blend right. Edit: we are also still trying to sign midfielder Okay Yokuslu from Celta Vigo.
