My Sky sports subscription expires at the end of August. Following the announcement that players will continue to take the knee, and the likelihood that Sky will continue to display the Black Lives Matter logo, I'm really motivated to not renew my subscription and tell them them exactly why. Am I being an idiot? I know it will have little or no effect.
It's a difficult one, you might be cutting your nose off to spite your face. Unfortunately sky sports more or less have the monopoly on the major sports. I don't watch much on it anymore unless the whites, the rhinos or Rangers are on. If there was a way of getting decent links for the majority of those games I might do it myself. The kneeling buisness IMO has run its course and is more embarrassing to watch than anything esle. I wonder how the Leeds Utd supporters will react at ER.
Guess it all comes down to how much this will wind you up in the future, compared to not being able to conveniently watch whatever football or other sporting events that you do. My dad continually moans about the same issue when watching Match of the Day highlights, so I told him to either stop watching it if its stressing him up that much, or record it, so he can fast forward those parts he doesn't want to watch.
There is no right or wrong just opinions mate. I don’t agree with taking the knee but if the players do then I have to accept they feel differently from me and it’s not going to change my life. My biggest concern is with the commentary teams, it’s just box ticking now, gone out the window is best man or woman for the job. Crazy when you think nearly every call centre is offshore, where is the uproar to employ more brits
On the anti-racism front, I actually think items of clothing linked to your club might be more effective, ie. Leeds fans against racism ,- tshirts, caps, whatever.
As I've said before there is a fine line between banter and what people perceive as racism. On another hypocritical note, youtube can take down a song called send them all back to Africa, saying it's inciting hatred, but yet they leave songs up by rappers which contain sexist, homophobic, racist and violent lyrics. It's either ban everything or don't.
You will have no problems finding links to any Leeds game now they are in the Premiership. Regularly, I find over twenty links per game last season, but post 5 or 6.
Now that fans have returned to the terraces, MANY will express their disapproval of the politically minded Black lives mater. Lets see a show of hands. Is Black lives matters pro Black, or anti White?
Footballers in the Premier League have displayed the words Black Lives Matter on their shirts recently, BUT home nations teams were fined in 2016 for wearing the poppy in an international fixture
I've been using the same 'link to links' exclusively for ages now. It was your good self that gave it to me in the first place, Matt! 100% works all the time: https://reddt1.soccerstreams.net/
Kalvin Phillips has tweeted why he wants to continue to do this, nothing to do with sky (your choice whether you subscribe or not) so entirely up to the individual that goes to the game as to whether he wants to boo / jeer his own player / players or not.
I won't give Woke Sky a penny of my hard earned, there's plenty of ways to watch it without giving them your money, **** them get yourself a dodgybox
or a fire stick thats been loaded for you.plenty of links to buy them on u tube.my mate has one and only pays a few pounds a year to watch the lot.
