All I'm saying is the zip isn't there at the minute. The passes are overhit or underhit. I appreciate it's a friendly and also we are playing a very good footballing side. We are 8 or 9 days away from our first match, so we don't have that long to get things clicking into place. Maybe I'm over worrying, but the second season a lot of promoted sides have struggled and I reckom a lot of teams have sussed us out. But only time will tell.
The team that are offering to make Pirreira from WBA never have to think about working again, is Al Hilal who have lots of petrol dollars. If you want to count a few U23s then yes we do, but Costa, Forshaw and Poveda are not good enough as this last week has proved. Roberts has only just signed a new contract so will leave him alone for now. If we had got everyone up to speed and fit then our bench would have had Forshaw, Roberts, Cooper, Poveda, Klich, Klaesson, Koch, Costa sat on it

I know it’s only preseason but the things these games have shown and worried me most are: - Meslier’s distribution, when we’re getting pressed and we pass back to Meslier his distribution isn’t good enough. Saw this a lot last season as well and just get the ball back at us. - Passing is awful. Can’t string any passes together yet this is something we’re meant to be good at. - Not creating a lot of chances. It’s fine not always scoring but I feel we’ve struggled at making opportunities and good openings.
that looked nasty nut to the head for Shackleton looks another one who is out. Yes its pre season and the score doesn't matter but not one of them players out there would of wanted a 4-0 drubbing. You still hold a winning mentality in any game. Bielsa was not happy in both games they weren't friendlies to him today Alot of things not working yet I really hope that's not our back four for the start of the season. Rodrigo looks lost. Klich I'm having big doubts with his legs even over 90mins. one game to go but another injury added to the list. Not sure what the off time is for a head injury these days or how severe it was but it looked bad enough to put him out for the scum game if selected. wanted a bit more shown today but we were soundly beaten on the night. one positive thing is they defo had a good workout tonight.
Yeh, we’re sh^t, this Bielsa guy is useless. or it could be a meaningless pre/season friendly they could have been sent out fresh as daisies going all out for the win. or they could have done double murderball yesterday stress about the games when there are points at stake guys
We need another two top signings, one being the absolute minimum, if not then replicating last season would be a miracle. Rodrigo isn’t showing any signs of being the player we had hoped, the U23s are being held back as they’re not quite ready, we’ve clearly got a handful of players prone to being easily injured, I think preseason is looking awful. Throw in how easily many of us start to lose faith (myself included), this will equate to groans from the fans each time Bamford misses a sitter putting added pressure on him, I’m sorry but this is just an OPINION we’re going to struggle on our second season unless we add some new faces. I think we’re deluded if we honestly believe top 8 is possible
