This didn't make it to air on the radio, apparently. The presenters didn't say anything because of that. They didn't cut it from the live stream though, so it looks like they're giving it a pass to anyone watching that. A stupid mistake, but any apology would've just sounded confusing to the listeners, as they wouldn't have heard the comment in the first place. Hopefully they'll learn from this **** up.
The account also unliked it ages ago. Most likely it’s a social media manager with a slipping finger rather than any real drama.
I suppose he could have 'liked' the idea of the club being bigger than any one person (true) without necessarily agreeing with the dig at Kane.
The club aren't too pleased, apparently! **** Talksport, but I think this was a genuine mistake, to be fair to them.
Yeah I have zero optimism about him tbh. Hasn’t put the work in for any of his managers at Spurs and has had multiple issues with this kind of thing in the past. Would be over the moon if we cut our losses and went for Sabitzer.
And yet Bale was singing his praises from training. Only needs a change of outlook and we have a world class player on our hands.
I have no doubts about his ability as a footballer. He can be astonishing. But he lacks any application. Give him Lamela’s drive and you have a world class player. But he’s rarely shown that consistently in his career, least of all here. Sooner or later it’s the player who has to be identified as the problem, not any of his numerous previous coaches.
There was talk of us looking to sign Lautaro Martinez if Harry Kane leaves That's probably not happening after Chelsea reportedly looking to re-sign Lukaku ...and, of course, guess which Fiorentina striker is a potential target for Inter if Lukaku does move? It's like they exist to **** up our transfer business
To save people a click: "The Club notes TalkSport’s apology following an antisemitic incident on their The Sports Bar programme on Tuesday 3 August. We were appalled that neither presenter addressed the comment, failing to call out the antisemitic trope. We are under no doubt that if an equivalent comment had been made regarding an individual’s race or other protected characteristic, the response would have been immediate and far-reaching. It cannot be acceptable that antisemitism does not receive the same level of condemnation as other forms of discrimination and efforts to tackle it should be no less rigorous." Sounds fair.
Many who have issues with Levy recognise many of his good points and the positive things he's done for spurs. I have been extremely (and, imho fairly) critical of Levy and his record since the appointment of JM but I am not surprised that he is handling this properly. City are acting like they can bully us and have done so publicly. Kane has acted appallingly since he made it public 5 games from the end of the season. Levy has stood his ground and is either going to get the money (as he did with Arnessen, Carrick, Berbatov, Keane and Bale) or will keep the player and sell to someone else next year to piss off the arrogant twats (as he did with Modric). City and he who must be called Pep are as classless as they are rich. Wish they'd **** off to the ESL tbh.
I purposely watched out for him in the Euros and can't say I was too excited about him but I may have been misled through watching his highlights on YouTube
