Get in touch with admin asap, 'someone' using your account was posting on the match day thread when the match was taking place, and shortly after the final whistle. It's a shame Allam time isn't Kempton time. :emoticon-0100-smile

How can that be seen as offensive as oppposed to **** marketing?

I think you have to be looking to take offence to be offended by that.

The only thing i was offended by is that someone was paid actual money to come up with that toss.

Of course it came across as offensive to some

The suggestion that the current owners would state that people who have been travelling all over their country following City for decades hadn’t ‘earned their stripes’ and needed to somehow start again for the whim of a **** membership scheme easily came across as offensive

Didn't make any practical difference to me, it was yet another thing in the drip drip of ****, but I can still see why it was offensive.

If you can’t you might be lacking empathy ?

I have empathy where its due, but not when theres a deliberate attempt to co-opt when it specifically suits an agenda.

Or are you really a snowflake...?

It was a piss-poor marketing strapline for a loyalty scheme ffs!

What im getting at is that any marketing director under any other owner could have come up with 'earn your stripes' and folk would have just thought it was a bit ****.

But because it came out under allams ownership its taken as a personal slight amongst certain individuals as it suits their pre-existing agenda to do so, not actually because it was intended to be offensive.

That was only one of the crimes though. What about the name change? What about charging pensioners and kids the same price as you and I?

    The list is endless.

Im not disputing the name change and concessions are reasons for wanting them out. Id add serial incompetence to that list too.

Thats enough for me without taking personal offence at a poorly conceived promotional launch they will have had limited involvment in.

Things don’t have to be ‘intended to be offensive’ for them to be offensive

The fact you think that explains a lot

It was offensive to some, me included.

    That’s how taking offence works

Just because you’re wrong loudly doesn’t mean people who are right need to seriously consider what you’re saying

You just don’t understand what ‘offensive to some’ means…and I suspect you don’t care either
