The United-Bayern game was pretty dull until the famous ending. Bayern where controlling the game and United clearly where missing Scholes and Keane so could not get a hold of the game. The Liverpool-Milan game was edge of the seat stuff until the end. The first half was a masterclass by Milan and Kaka was unreal. The 2nd half was the Gerrard half. And the ET, had that epic save/miss from Shevchenko.

NORWICH 1-7 COLCHESTER I'm surprised anyone from your neck of the woods can read, too busy shagging your relatives.
Man U v B.Munich was incredible for about two minutes at the end. Liverpool v AC was incredible for two hours plus. One was an incredible result, the other was an incredible game. No contest really.
England 4 Netherlands 1 in Euro 96 Arsenal 1 Watford 3 FA Cup Quarter Final 1987 (yes I'm a Watford fan!)
Agree with you there Chippy, probably the best England game I've ever seen. Best ever - Italy 3 Brazil 2, World Cup 1982. Amazing stuff.
When Hitchin Town beat Hereford in the first round of the FA Cup. It was a midweek game in November, dark, cold and slightly foggy. After 90 minutes it was 2-2 so extra time was played. Hitchin scored and amongst the celebrations, someone threw a flare onto the pitch which filled the ground with purple smoke. The smoke mingled with the fog completely obscuring one half of the pitch. We stood there wondering what was going on when out of the gloom emerged a lone Hitchin player with the ball, he ran up the pitch unchallenged and slotted the ball past Hereford's goalkeeper. The referee following behind him gave the goal and was immediately surrounded by the entire Hereford team and bench. The ref then blew for full time even though there were at least 5 minutes still to go and walked off the pitch.
Don't know what the '99 final was like on TV but in the ground it was ****ing awful. Well, the first four minutes were ok and last two certainly were but the rest was a blur of anxiety. Best match I ever attended though was the 1984 ECWC quarter final at Old Trafford, United 3 Barcelona 0. Truly amazing match, the memory will never leave me.
I suppose an obvious one for neutrals was that first Liverpool 4 Newcastle 3 game at Anfield in 1996. That was superb
Yep. Couldn't believe how they took Liverpool apart for 45 minutes, had it sewn up - incredible. The rest is history, pure seat of your pants, adrenalin fuelled, incredible history.
