This is a big opportunity, but one we have to follow through on. It has become common for players to jump academies looking for the best opportunities, and after Sancho it has increasingly become common for young players to run down their contracts to have greater leverage in determining their future, rather than spend years on the loan circuit. There is an enormous benefit to establishing ourselves as a club that provides a pathway for those kids to becoming PL regulars, but now we have to actually do it. And that means that we're going to have to give Livramento real opportunities, even if that means starting him over KWP at times, and potentially taking a few lumps along the way. A lot of agents, and a lot of young players, will take note of how he gets on here.
