Exodus Watch Celtic have been told they can't sign CCV on loan, either they offer a fee to sign him or they bugger off
Nothing official on social media about GLC or Højbjerg return to training today - I’m thinking pictures, videos etc. Had a look at club channels and their own social and doesn’t seem to be anything. Højbjerg in particular is a bit of a favourite and you’d think they’d have put something up about him being back, even if it was just for fitness tests. Maybe this is just all a bit overblown and they’re in fact all back tomorrow? I think there’s a lot more to come out about this situation, it may still be much ado about nothing.
He's in their Olympic squad and he's played every match. The first two at right-back and the next two at left-back, apparently. They face Brazil in the semi-final tomorrow. Gil v Tomiyasu is the other. Appears to have made over 150 appearances for his two Mexican clubs so far, which is respectable for a 23-year old. Played 15 times for his country and won a place in the Toulon 2018 Tournament team, when Mexico lost the final to England.
Yeah I saw it from Ali, and he’s usually pretty reliable. But he’s not 100%. It’s just very surprising that there hasn’t been a peek from either player on their social media or any pics on Twitter about them being back as they’re two players well liked, especially by the Twitter crowd. I’d have expected to see one of them on a treadmill with a few Viking emojis by now. I just think there’s a lot to come out on this still, and it could be that he’s just taken a Covid test at home instead of at the club. Obviously if he’s refusing to train then he’s being a **** but we don’t know if that’s the case yet. The club haven’t put any training or fitness work photos up whatsoever today, which is just odd. Because they’re usually daily with that sort of thing, especially in preseason with lots of players coming back for the first time.
The club is probably trying to spare his blushes in spite of himself although with the cat already out of the bag...
It’s also worth noting that Kane was in the Bahamas as recently as Friday, according to Ali Gold. The Bahamas is on the Amber travel list so if he’s not double-jabbed, he may not even be allowed out of quarantine to train yet, as I’m not sure the exemption for elite sportsmen applies when he’s not travelling for ‘work’. Still think this could be much ado about nothing.
I’d love to see the club let him rot in the reserves if he is acting like an entitled spoilt little brat. I think it will end with City paying the fee Spurs want though. Just hope Spurs have the replacement lined up ASAP
Talking to my son about the Kane situation and his reply was " f**k him he's never shown up in any of the big games , let's get somebody who can
He has a point and it's also worth remembering that Son has just renewed his contract and loves Spurs and has done quite well as the main man in Kane's absences through injury.
If you were a professional footballer and you wanted to leave the club you were at, would you: A: Fail to turn up to training after doing a ****ty interview near the end of the previous season talking crap. B: Put in a transfer request. Hmm...
I would love Spurs to call Kane’s bluff and stick him in the reserves. Seeing how desperate he is to break all the goal scoring records let see how long he will sit there throwing his toys out of the pram. He is absolutely burning his bridges with all the spurs fans acting like this.
