To be fair to traore, think me and sd have ways said hes the most dangerous **** player but those stats dont really tell the full story. Pretty sure until the last couple of seasons traore mainly got about 10 mins as a sub for a lot of it and for the main part hes playing for wolves, boro and villa who hardly have a harry kane or son who all you need to do is pass to and they will do the rest and bang it in. Agree about his streakiness though

If we got 150m for Kane the best way to spend the money would be one third each on another centre back and two of the best forwards in their early twenties in the hope that one of them would be the real deal.
Kane may have a secret buyout clause. If not then what is in his contract is binding whatever conversation he had with Levy.
Yes, we all know that gentleman's agreements are largely worth the paper they're written on, but the concept just sounds ludicrous to me. Did Kane somehow think that Levy had agreed to let him go for whatever bid came in for him? He'd have to be incredibly dense.
If he has a secret buyout clause The Sheikh Mansour Team would have blabbed about it by now, considering all the other ****e they've been happily telling the press in the last few weeks
You could write it so that it was ineffective if it became known to the buyer. Then if anyone genuinely bid more then fair enough.
I'll gladly go one step further and say they don't exist, they're a fabrication from hacks They said Modric had one, he didn't leave They said Mahrez had one, he didn't leave They said Vardy had one, he's still at Leicester They said Rodgers had one with Swansea, he still raided them for Joe Allen Those are just the examples off the top of my head, and doesn't it say a lot that it's always the clubs that threaten to break the Skyte Four's monopoly that have them with their players and nobody else? Colombo would have that one wrapped up in time for elevenses
Most PL players don’t have buyout clauses. It seems to be a mostly European phenomenon. And if Kane had a secret buyout clause that City were aware of, and they wanted him, they’d have triggered it by now. Levy may well have said to Kane, yeah we’ll let you go if a suitable bid comes in. But suitable to us is well north of 150m. Hell, even in the Neville interview last season, Gary Neville joked with Kane that he’d be more like 200 than 100, and Kane laughed. He knows what he’s worth to this club which is why he’s the top earner. He’s completely irreplaceable as a player and if City won’t bid what we want then he can have no complaints. Given where the club is at right now, we’d struggle to buy a player of his quality even with a world record fee. He’s made himself an expensive, comfortable bed, and it’s time to lie in it.
We got £32.2m for Berbatov. We wanted £30m once we knew he was going (that was a huge amount 13 years ago) and United were banging on about going no higher than £22m all summer. Our mistake then was that we didn't get a striker in until the last minute (Campbell and Pavlechenko). We tried to avoid that mistake in 2013 when we knew Bale was going by buying early.
Outside of relegation release clauses, the only ones I can think of are Trippier at Burnley (which is how we signed him quick and clean) and Suarez at Klanfield If anything, the worst type of deal on the continent is one where clubs split the playing rights, because that's a potential arseache for everyone but the dominant team who bought half the rights, which is usually someone like Barca, Juve or clubs of that strata in their respective league
Bamford had a great season last year. Has always been prolific in the championship but has struggled in each of his pl years (was it 1 or 2 he has had?). Good luck for him working hard but i wouldnt be pleased at taking a punt on him for anything above 30m. There are just too many examples of 1 season wonder strikers. Calvert lewin for me is a far better bet but he will be far more pricy
When a player wants out they should be told how much we want for them, that we will not accept a penny less and tell them to sort the move out AND that they will never play for us again so they'll depend the remainder of their contract with no squad number. I have always said this and tbh when you look at the behaviour of ; 1. Walker (demanded a move in March 2017 while we were still in the FA Cup semi final and in a title battle), We dealt with him well in getting what we wanted and getting him out as soon as possible. 2. Rose (slagging off the team and moaning about his wages even though he just signed a new 4 and a half year deal) 3. Dier (wanting to go to United in 2018) 4. Alderweireld (refusing to sign a contract and causing us aggro all of one transfer window). We allowed the other 3 to treat our club and fans badly. They were all rewarded with game time, a CL final etc. and two of them got huge contract extensions ffs. All were shadows of their former selves and were a big part of our deterioration over the past 2 -3 years. Kane was bang out of line mouthing off 5 games before the end of last season. We still had a chance to get into the EL and an small outside chance of getting into the CL. We lost to both Leeds and Villa in our last 4 games. If we'd had won both of those we'd have got top 4. Instead we were awful...that included Kane who was laughably poor in these games. I expect no better from players as I think they are all money grabbers who do not give a **** about the fans. We bestow "legend" status on top players no matter how piss poorly they treat us. Keane, Berbatov and Modric have all been called legends but for me they are not. They treated us as fans appallingly. They were all good players that I enjoyed watching but they ain't legends imo.
Do we know Kane is 'on strike'. As far as I can see it's only the press that have decided this. The same press that accepted Citeh's £160M offer for him.
I think the term legend is always going to be subjective anyway, mate, especially amongst fans. I'd imagine there's different criteria for all of us. Longevity? Impact and quality? What they've won? Professionalism? Combinations of them? For instance many would say Ledley is a legend (rightly so) and yet someone like van der Vaart is too (arguably rightly so). One spent their whole career here, one spent just two seasons. Both fantastic players and well and truly loved but I think it shows just how much you can differentiate as to what a legend is. I don't like how the three you mentioned left us but I'd probably still place them down as legends as they did produce some of the best football I've seen as a fan and as a football fan I want to see the best possible players. I get initially pissed at when (and how) they leave - as I will with Kane if he goes - but a few years down the line I try to remember them as players and not people, if that makes sense? And as players we haven't seen many better put on our shirt in recent times. Likewise players like Hugo, Jan, Toby, Dembele, Eriksen, Son etc. I'd say all of these could be classed as legends.
Ramon Vega going in on Kane: Jamie Carragher's also slagged him off, possibly just to create some news with his mate, Neville.
Has Neville said anything on this yet? Be interesting to hear his thoughts on the matter, given he basically gave Kane the platform to mouth off about this before the end of last season, in the first place. Rat.
