Maybe the wrong word. Flamboyant. Maybe slightly unorthodox - certainly in attitude.
The point being that none of these lads fitted the FA' stereotype footballer and their careers suffered as a result.

Lo Celso and Hojbjerg have apparently returned earlier than expected and have been training the last few days.

    Solid commitment, I like that.

So this is something that makes no sense: Lo Celso and Hojbjerg weren't expected in today, yet Harry Kane was

Anyone else seeing a few cracks in Skyte's version of events? And I don't mean in their van's windshield?

To be fair we don’t know, but to my knowledge there are no photos of PEH or GLC in training either, so the whole lot is unverified.

It shows they’re both keen and eager to impress the new boss while Kane is showing he wants out?

Apparently not. Due for covid tests and everyone is saying he hasn't turned up. Would spoil the memories for me if he goes about getting a move this way.

Something simply doesn't add up when we're not expecting a Copa America winner or a Euros semi finalist in today, yet are expecting a Euros runner-up

Either we're expecting all of them or we're expecting none of them

Assuming that most of the stuff you read reported as news is made up is the best option. On the occasions I have had a real understanding of the issue reported on it has been bollocks 9 times out if 10. My favourite was in the 80s the Evening Standard as its main front page headline reporting that 'electricity to be imported from France it was revealed today'. While that was written just before the interconnector went live, there had been a Public Inquiry before it was constructed!

I reckon we may have been expecting them all back today (as in every player who’s been away) but it just sounds like Lo Celso and Hojbjerg returned early - and good on them. Lo Celso especially has a point to prove and this is a good way of showing he’s determined to do so.

Even my perception of who is reasonably trustworthy, the one time I really knew enough facts to judge, proved to be utterly mistaken. Both the New York Times and the Nation of Islam's newspaper, The Final Call, ran stories about the discovery of a 300 year old cemetery on Broadway between Duane and Reade Street. Guess who did a very tolerable job of providing the real story, and who was laughably mistaken.

Still no Ndombele… No Lloris either, who was in the squad for the MK game. A friendly debut for Gollini though.

Debut for Gollini. <ok> Where's Lloris, though?
Looks like a minor change to the midfield system, but it could still be the 4-3-3.
Interesting to see how Hojbjerg and Skipp set up.
Good to see John's still keeping his place, despite a number of midfielders returning.

John Clark Scarlett is the name of the private detective in my noir detective series

I mean my Goodreads profile could do with a few more titles on it...
