Let’s have them I will be in the local from 12, lift up to The Avenue at 1pm and stay in there just before kick off and a nice slow, elderly walk up to my seat in the East Stand. Get agitated, excited, tortured, discombobulated all in 90 minutes, no drinking in the ground though. Back to The Avenue for 2 or 3 more, then home for tea and probably fall asleep for 9 ish
I normally leave home at 9, drive up and drop my bag and park my car at the hotel about 12 to 12.30. Then to Jacksons to meet some mates, have a pint or two and I too will have a slow, elderly walk to the East Stand. I normally spend an anxious 90 minutes, but I always live in hope that it will be enjoyable and worry free! Then to the Colliery for a couple and a post mortem before adjourning for my tea and an early night. I used to drive up and down in the same day, but I’m too old for that now!
Tempted to make a day of it, but still suffering with covid so more likely drive to the ground, drive straight home assuming all goes well and I come out of isolation next Sat
I can’t get up so I’ll be in my local having a few beers then watching the final lions test. Hopefully drunk enough that the result will either feel amazing or distracted from it
Local club for 11 am, picked up about 12 and in pub in town from 1 til 2.45 ish, walk to SOL and watch us win, then back in town til pickup at 7pm. Home for 8 . Bed for ten past.
Just a thought lads going to the game - you might want to leave the pub a little earlier considering the issues people had getting in last night
Wonderful mate, what life's all about ... ... billionaires I've worked for would never experience anything so good.
For me it’ll be straight to ground as mate is working till 2:30. Into match and then a few pints after the game somewhere. first time I’ve had a season ticket since 10/11 season.
Taking the lad to the match with by brother. He is 5 now so is starting to get more into it. Hoping he remains interested for the full 90 this time and it can be a common thing each Saturday. Probably head out to local for lunch then get over the stadium. Is there any family / fanzone thing happening, does anyone know ?
61 yrs old lived in Sunderland all my life and I had never heard of or seen that pub until roadworks near Dame Dorothy forced me to take a detour about a year ago. I like to try different battle cruisers so I will be having a pint in there in the next few weeks.
In the Victory with a few of the cuddlies for a swift couple of gargles, match, picked up after. A win, good football and an almighty magnificent support would just be a bonus.
If you are suffering from covid, don't you think you are being a little bit ' feck you mate, I'm alright '
I will be in the gunners club at 12 30 Then yates Then over the bridge 2 ish Victory club @Gil T Azell
The lack of info for next week is poor from the club. People need to make plans - surely they must know now if they have booked 10 or so double decker buses for the park and ride for next week? Why aren't they telling people?
