It's a sign of health for the sport really. The whole "we all respect each other" stuff we've been seeing over the last few years happens when there's not much to play for. We're getting a good old fashioned grudge match this year.
In fairness, neither Horner nor Max kicked off at all about it in the post interview. Both saying 'fair play'. Surprised by that - perhaps someone has had a word. Re Perez/Bottas - I don't think either is better or worse than the others. They're both B grade drivers, who will be found out by the A grade, but who on their day can pull out a good result. No shame in that. There's only very, very few A graders.
I am also surprised that horner didn't at least make a snide comment. Massi did say he might have a meeting with Max and Lewis. Maybe he actually had a word with toto and horner!
From the BBC Sport website It's a feisty news conference and now Lewis Hamilton has been asked about whether he should've been going faster on his out lap, as Red Bull's Sergio Perez could not get in a second quick one as a result. Hamilton responds to a question and says: "Everyone was going slow, do you not watch anyone else? Do you think I could go quicker and be closer to Valtteri? It was no different to any lap. "I was not playing any tactics, I don't need to, I know what I'm doing in the car and am fast enough. "Those making the comments do not know about the job that we're doing, which is why they are not driving."
I think Sky commentating team said something like FIA set a minimum time between start line and safety car line something like 1:30 but Lewis took 1:50. They failed to mention if others have been going as slow?
Max is going to have to really go for it at the start tomorrow. He really can't afford to spend a handful of laps stuck behind the Mercs. First few laps could be quality stuff.
There's a couple of spots...but this is where Mansell finally clinched the title...so it has a special place in my heart.
I like that we have a variety of circuits and that they’re not all big, wide and flowing. It brings different cars into the mix, different variables, different strategies. In a season with 20+ races it would be very dull if they were too similar.
Well that would certainly escalate things, as well as being totally unacceptable, and being truly ban-worthy. Some idiots would still think it was justified though.
Probably just acting billy big balls... But good grief, if that were to happen, you could expect a lengthy ban.
