on another day and better finishing on both sides it could have been something like 4 - 6 to Hull City. plus both keepers pulled off a couple of good stops each. the play was about 50/50 overall but the first 10 mins brighton could have been 2-0 up and were wastful. after 30mins CMS drifted out of the game apart from one 2nd half header that basso saved well. at 5.30 most around me would have taken a draw so the result is not a bad one at all. with only west ham and leeds winning over the weekend the status quo was naintained and IMO the best city display this season. the energy and passing and movement at times were way above the championship and as ive been saying for a while now this team will get better and better. with waggy and barmby missing (both back for watford) it was a job well done. 8/10 for the tigers. a most enjoyable and entertaining 0 - 0 for sure.
Our friends on the south coast are being fairly complimentary, even they think we were the better team..... http://www.northstandchat.com/showthread.php?216907-Best-nil-nil-I-have-ever-seen
Interesting stuff. Puts some of our moaners in their place,too....and not just by the way they felt about the game.
