A terrible thing is going to happen this weekend and I'm not comfortable with it.

yup. On top of that, it's classic Newcastle to get results playing tough teams, and fail against teams we should be beating. It would also be classic Newcastle to throw away a hard fought unbeaten run against Wigan. we're definitely going to lose

I'm sure he had us for a win against Fulham? The Perch Theory states he will get one right now and then just from dumb luck, just as Perchy will occasionally have a decent game, when for example the opposing team are without a left winger.

My money is on him predicting a draw.

A few backhanded compliments for us and a bit of praise for Roberto Martinez and the amazing job he's done and then a 1 - 1 or 0 - 0 draw. After all, he just can't see where the goals will come from, completely disregarding the fact that our strikers have 8 between them in 8 games.

We should win. Wigan are a shambles, we're on top top form, we're at home. A nice 5 nil would be lovely, it's been a while haha.

But

We're Newcastle.

Anything could happen.. unfortunately..

In all honesty, I think we'll end our unbeaten run against Stoke.

I'd be more worried about Pardew being complacent in this match and playing a weakened side than Lawro predicting a win.

I think Stoke is probably where it will all end as well. But their European exploits/generally poor form mean a draw is certainly possible.

I think we'll win comfortably 2 or 3-0 against Wigan, but we can't underestimate them, but Stoke away from home will be more of a test to our defense and Krul, on how he copes with long throws.

I'm really confident v Wigan. Last season our problem was ****ing up at home against sides like Fulham, Blackburn, Blackpool, Wigan etc but we seem to be setting that right this year and getting the job done.

I really think we can and will score 4+ against them.

I expect Lawro will completely switch viewpoint and predict a complete thumping.

I'm also confident we'll win UNLESS Pards starts concentrating on the CC midweek match instead of the Wigan game.

A couple of weeks ago I posted that I would have taken a loss to Wigan if it meant staying in the cup. Now I can't stand to see the run end, which means we're going to have to find two winning teams in 4 days. And which does make a loss to Stoke more likely.

If Pardew can make sure that nobody gets complacent (including himself) then we should batter them. If not then.........

Pardew has also hinted that Ben Afra could start.

Alan Pardew said:
He looked sharp and lively. It showed he's near his best, and he's threatening to burst into the team. On that showing, he's got a good chance.

I've got no concern with fielding a strong side in the CC. Don't forget after the Everton game there is ANOTHER two week international break. What a joke, but gives our players a rest before the frantic Christmas period.

No way would I want to drop points at Wigan in favour of the CC. We can play the likes of Shola, Gosling, Santon, Ben Arfa and a few others at Blackburn and still field a very strong team whilst maybe 'resting' a few - even though they don't need it as we've had good breaks between fixtures.

I forgot Stoke was a Monday night game. That gives us another two days to rest up, so I,m going to go for our unbeaten run to last until Man City. Maybe Man U
