I guess it depends on how reliable "sources close to a player" are. But if Modric is actually talking down his club to move then it's definitely a bad move for the player. I have rarely used the word "Spuds" regarding Spurs fans because I have absolutely no clue where it came from or what it has to do with Spurs fans... a spud is a potato? a Spurs fan is a supporter of THFC? where is the link?

    Ensil

I think your find its only 75% is needed and not the 100% you state.

Could be tricky for The Centurions: the match is played on a Thursday; and Spurs have a lot of experience of playing that night of the week

I think you'll find it was a Chelsea fan that started this, however. He was clearly on the wum so you shouldn't take offense to the language used by "Spuds" in response. If you fail to show any respect either you will be lumped in with the wum and given the same treatment. With good reason might I add.

Calling another user a **** is not going to help your case if you want to continue to keep your posting rights on this board either <ok>

Thanks, Ensil. I remembered him be angry about his wage being leaked and thought it was around £70k but given the way everyone was quoting £45k I started to think that it might have been closer to that than I thought.

I'm sorry, you clearly find grammar ever so important on this informal sport debating forum. I missed out one letter, I was typing on my phone quite quickly so that's the reason <ok>

Anyway, Ensil, the fans own our stadium, how would you say that is a bad thing? Oh and stop trying to be funny by changing names in a 'comical' fashion, nobody laughs and they're all **** <ok>. If you read up on our clubs history you would see why in fact we are called Chelsea when based in Fulham. Also, I believe once upon a time you said 'I'm actually fond of the Scots' so please don't refer to me as a jock in that way <ok>.

Schteff - I only call people ****s when they are ****s. Ensil fits that description perfectly, just ask anyone outside the Tottenham board.

The Grauniad has a fien example of poor journalism, too - apparently Modric was playing on both flanks at the same time at Newcastle. So we better be sure we know which of the clones Chelsea are tapping up, in case they get off on a technicality...

As I say, showing respect on our board is a must if you're to receive it in return. Being abusive like that will not help your case.

As SF says, please keep it civil.

...and for whoever asked, the term 'spud' (potato) is affecionately used by Arsenal supporters and refers to Tottenham fans having a chip on their shoulders due to being in Arsenal's shadow for so many years.

    'Chip' - 'Potato' - 'Spud' - geddit? :p

There's nothing affectionate about it, it's a nasty little term used to demean and debase our great club's name. Arsenal supporters like you are just nasty little people trying to Wum on our board.

I don't have a chip on my shoulder about Arsenal, I just despise your cheating club and ignorant idiot supporters like you.

Ahh the good old Fail, I like the usual `a source said` line, it made me chuckle. The Fail is anti Spurs (for whatever reason, probably goon or chav journos on board), and I dont believe 95% of what they write about Spurs.
