So basically they want to negotiate their own TV deals, play half their league games in India, Thailand and TimbukFookinToo and now have no relegation!!!

We are witnessing Greed in the process of destriying itself!!

Can't be good for the game, would make it less of a competition, but yeah can imagine it being Venkys that are one of the main instigators of it. Hopefully most of the bigger clubs would see that its a bad idea.

I agree with them. As soon as we get promoted, I demand our foreign owners join the bandwagon and get relegation abolished!

What a ridiculous suggestion, it's part of our football tradition and will destroy the premier league even further as a competiton. If you finish in the bottom 3 of the league you aren't good enough to be there, as the 3 teams who got promoted excel in the league below. There is no reason at all why the premier league should become exclusive for the sake of the foreign owners, hopefully this won't happen. Imagine for example if this was employed and the season before it came about, we have a club like West Ham or Newcastle a couple of season ago getting relegated, the Premier League would be kicking themselves.

6 of the clubs on that list would never get relegated anyway.. so that leaves Blackburn, Fulham, QPR & Slumberland..

but if they want to stagnate and become a bunch of fat cat inbreds then **** 'em..

Didn't the Blackburn owners not realise teams could get relegated? And that's why they sacked Big Sam? Would be very surprised if it wasn't them who suggested it.

They want to be careful what they wish for .

If it did go-ahead and then four or five of the big clubs joined a European Super league they'd be stuffed .

Providing the clubs in the second tier stuck together they'd be left with a fifteen man league with a few of those teams unable to sell their grounds out .

Twenty eight games a season and considerably less money on offer from Sky ( you just know they'd be involved in any European League) would not be good financially .In fact it would be catastrophic .

I'd just cancel my Sky in any case . If every fan who supported a team outside of the top flight did that they'd be shafted .

Atleast if they did it.. this would turn into the premier league basically so we'd still have relegation and league 1 and 2 would have promotion... and it wouldnt be full of foreigner owners and foreign players, overpaid ****ers and fake fans... be true fans who turn up week in week out like the old division 1 was... it would be back to english football at its best.. not a business which the premier league has turned into.

**** post. Really **** post. I'm going to break this one down for you Perry style.

    1. This would not turn into a Premier League, it would turn into a second division that's impossible to get promoted from. It'd be ****. Look at the lower leagues in Rugby League for instance, who cares about them? Nobody, exactly.

    2. We have a foreign owner and foreign players you ****ing ******.

    3. Overpaid? They get what the market's willing to pay for them, they've got a skill not many have and are paid accordingly for it, you may not like it, but it's the truth. These people sell out stadiums week in and week out, do they not deserve to get a share of that?

    4. Fake fans? So you become a "fake fan" when your team goes up to the Prem eh? Are Swansea fans suddenly fake? Were you fake 2 years ago? Again. Stupid, stupid point.

    5. As long as capitalism exists, football will be a business.

Please put down the book of cliches and log off, thank you.
