'a bird in the hand'..... it sounds like the deal was all but done, i would hope if this is true that it is much more advanced than 'available' and more like 'dead cert'.
Last I heard was last night and posted on here this morning. Been with my son all morning and phone started to go mad with people asking about the left back from Liverpool. First time checking it. Seems as if it's been pulled even though it was going to be a permanent and not a loan.
About time we stopped being the fall guy in these deals ... ... enough of these mercenaries who have to be coaxed here, players with underlying injury concerns and panic buys.
It's risky if they aren't 100% positive of getting the no 1 target. If it doesn't come off Liverpool (and the lad tbf) would tell us to **** off I'd imagine.
No need to pull out in that case. Simply tell both players they're fighting for that place, as is normal ... ... then see how it pans out. Whoever actually signs can assume they were Plan A.
If @Magnus is right......Plan A signing! That'll **** a few of them off over the road if it turns out we've actually had a plan A and B....desperately hoping that A comes off....could be we've played a blinder! Won't half pinch more than a few arses up amongst our so called fans!
Their desperation for deals to fall through is akin to those who wanted the takeover to fail ... ... I don't know people like this, in real life, but I assume it's not just an act.
If (big if) we have pulled out because another target is coming in, it will be because they're definitely coming. If they weren't definitely coming, you'd keep both offers on the table.
Good point. Although I’m not a fan of giving a player a time limit as it puts unnecessary pressure on them IMO.
I do. Type of people who seem desperate fir the opposition to beat us too. Just to suit their agenda.
