On RTG they're describing the club as a toxic mess that players won't touch with a barge pole ...

... it isn't, we have a bright future and were rescued by the skin of our teeth.

Some people like to wallow in misery

I want to see us stop paying anything extra for anyone wanting to move to the North East, let them go and play somewhere else, thats one of the reasons we ended up in the mess we did. Agents must of got a hard on when we enquired about one of their players with our negotiating skills

We've made multiple bids for a range of players..defenders, midfielders and enquired regarding 2 forwards in the last week.

One is close and should be announced in the next few days. Others were negotiating with and players deciding.

Some absolutely mental comments over there and on Twitter. We have wanted a long term plan, use of the academy, a 'football identity' (or philosophy if you would like to call it), and when we get one from an owner who is minted, with already vast experience within top level football, who's mother is one of the richest women in Russia and people are pissing their pants with 4 weeks of the window left. Crazy stuff indeed. People think our season will be written off if Wigan beat us :emoticon-0140-rofl:.

You would think it was mate the way some of the fans reaction has been towards the club

I nearly used you as an example mate of how we had different views on a subject but because of how you responded and put your point across made me look at it from your point of view, I may still have a different opinion to you but I can see where your coming from.
The problem when the insults start is that I find myself retaliating why sarcastic comments which isn't really what I'm about and I think quite a few others are the same

Rightly or wrongly, there were high expectations for this transfer window, perhaps they will still be delivered upon, but it’s fair to say, that so far, it’s been pretty flat.
I don’t think the club have said a great deal that would distinguish our plans, from the likes of Portsmouth, who also have a rich owner and are looking to be more sustainable.
Come what may, next Saturday everyone will be behind the team. Regardless, we would all like a good signing or two before then, that will improve the first 11.

That's what drove me of rtg tbh. There's been some sarky comments about window being open after season starts but I won't bite. It's what wums want. At the end of the day all supporters want the best for the club. I'm concerned we won't get it and be stuck in l1 fir a further year. We should never have been I'm this league and at worst been up in one season. Issue us each year makes it harder. I hope we get players in soon so we can find something else to argue about. Perhaps how many were gonna win by each week :)

It's 3 weeks into the window and we've already had
    • fans tweeting speakmen
    • Linking kld to Donald and methvan
    • Saying the data is bullshit
    • Calling the kids **** who played yesterday.
    • Complaining about Pritchard getting covid
    • complaining we haven't spent money
    • Harvey getting a few digs at him aswell

It's all good being abit nervous, but who judges a window before it's shut? Not even half way through it yet

Totally agree, I do think the structure that is in place is what's needed and like you say the sooner the better to get the signings in.
Personally I'd rather it took till the second week of the season starting as long as we got the players in we were after.
However I can understand people getting worried as we've seen in the past how deals can collapse when then club have thought they were over the line, if that happens 2 weeks in to the season then I'd be very worried.
Hopefully with @Wheatsheaf latest update we may have some more in by next week
