He loves that word, accumulation. Accumulation of points last season.

Newcastle United - an accumulation of utter ****.

He'd have to be living under a rock, with a rock in his head where his brain should be, to think for one second he's got any credit with the fanbase. This takeover bullshit might work on the Twitterati, but the morons walking into the stadium just see a disgusting owner, a worse manager and a terrible, under-invested team. I give it 20 mins before it turns to absolute hell

Personally, if I was him, I wouldn't bother, he's in a lose-lose situation. Just seems obstinate, thick and arrogant to want to carry on. If the status quo remains, he gets no money whatsoever, no help and has to put up with what will become vile abuse. If there ever was a takeover, he'd be the first out the door. He'll not get sacked by that fat sack of crap in charge, because he wouldn't give him a payout. There's nothing here for Bruce - and what really sticks in the throat is that he's supposed to be a fan, born in Wallsend; he should be saying "**** this", living off retirement and whistleblowing about what a sub-standard ****show Ashley's taken the club to.

Guns need to be aimed back at Ashley, ASAP.

It might be a difficult job but I bet that £57000 pay packet every Friday helps (and the free bacon sarnies).

    The latest patsy.

He's similar to Pardew in that he will toe the line publicly. Its the right thing to do for the players, but the fans will just slate it down as in bed with Ashley. In reality both are trying to do the right thing, and both were/are in a job that is better than their ability so was a complete dream in a lot of ways.

He will get completely roasted if we start badly.

Cant really see things getting that much more toxic if we start badly which I think we will.

The next 4 weeks set the tone for the season. Big things that may happen:
    1. Lose to Norwich. Heavily!
    2. Sell ASM.
    3. Injury to Wilson.
    4. Lose our opening 3 games.
I can see all four happening.

There is something which sits above all that with our fans though, bar maybe number 2. Bruce is ****ed already because the club seems to be providing no money so there won't be much activity. It sets our fans off every window, particularly if other clubs are busy (clubs are spending still, not as big but still). Bruce has tried to head it off early by telling fans, but he has just been slated for it looking around. The fans aren't interested. Bruce could win the first 5 games, he still won't be liked. I remember Pardew getting us to Europe, starting the season 11 games unbeaten, he got zero credit from the fans. Just the way it is here which is why I think its foolhardy of owners to go against fans with appointments. They can create a toxic atmosphere you just can't operate successfully in. In fairness to the fans a lot of the time its because they know they are getting second rate guys whose career has gone the wrong way, which is frustrating when you give a ****.

Last season was a prime example. Fans tried to shoe horn every possible bad thing as down to Bruce. The negativity just builds and builds I find. Bottom line is Ashley will always shop at Matalan for his managers, so the fans are always gonna have the hump. It really all does go back to one man and his shoestring ways.

All true. But Bruce doesn’t exactly paint himself full of glory. And he’s getting paid best part of 50k to put up with it. He’s also a fan so should understand our frustrations.

But this time it’s not his fault with the lack of investment. Not only does it give him problems but it also creates this tense situation.

Plus he can’t plan. He knows that at a drop of a hat or 50m on last day of the transfer window Ashley could sell ASM and it blows all his options.

Do I blame Bruce for staying, **** no. I would for 50k a week.

I'm not convinced he's a true fan. I think Man U was where his heart was and probably still is.

I think he tries his level best. I personally do not think his level best is good enough for a PL football team. Looking at Wilson's comments it seems to confirm that he has very little coaching experience and is an old style manager relying on others for the actual coaching of players. Fair play to him bringing in Jones, it takes real self awareness and honesty to admit you're missing something the players need. I'd question what the rest of the coaching staff are doing mind and also wonder how much better we would be if we had a good coach like Potter working alongside him.

Its all essentially not his fault. If he had sensible budgets I think he'd have to be held responsible for more than he is. But then we probably would have appointed a better manager to.

I don't even blame Mike Ashley now. Because we should be Saudi owned and no longer talking about this ****!
