Having had 24 hours to get over that "where do we go from here" feeling, i think there are many good points made on this thread, especially from cologne and emiatss.

The only problem with tuqhe three worst teams theory is that two those teams have enough quality to charge up the table and invest in january We wont and cant

I agree with the tactical analysis lumping it to short people is stupid.

    I agree.

If we're conceding that we don't have enough quality, we should play Taylor and Forsyth up front and lump it to tall people ;)

The trouble is emiatiss that games are not played "on paper" . The team may "look" more balanced and may "look" to have more depth, but in truth it has no creativity or goal scoring potential. It is considerably less than the sum of its parts, and in this sense much worse than last seasons team. Dyche has assembled (not developed) a cast of fairly ordinary players--none very bad, but none very good--and seems to hope that by making them "compete for their place" they will produce results. That is not going to happen. After 11 games we can see all too clearly that Dyche is one-dimensional in his approach to the game, poor at influencing the outcome of a match through substitutions or a change of tactics and not prepared to trust to youth. The players he has brought in are also one-dimensional, and some of the older established players have gone off the boil. Sordell looks disinterested--has he been comparing wages with his England U21 mates and does he want away? Remind him he was picked for England on the basis of his Watford performances, and that is where his first loyalty is. Getting Kightly in for three or four matches will change nothing-- it is a sign of desperation to think it will.

Rationally, Dyche should not get sacked. Mr B is a new owner and has never sacked a manager, so needs advice on how to do it. That will come from GT who would never sack a new manager until at least 20 games and then only in a real crisis. But then of course Mr B is an enigma, and may want to do things his own way, even against the advice of GT . He has already lost his head of business in unexplained circumstances. So actually anything could happen. In the meantime we must continue to support a team that is proving quite hard to identify with , apart from a few old friends. What a pity that Doyleys testimonial year should be one that is proving to be such hard work .

I think SD made a fundamental mistake in the summer and identified the thin squad as why we fell away so badly rather than the lack of a certain type of midfielderd ie players who can recieve the ball, turn and move play forward. Both mutch and mcginn were doing it for us last season but none of the players at the moment offer it. We are also so slow in midfield we dont ever get in behind.

Once we sold WB we desperatly needed to get a replacement pacy winger was a must.

As others have said i am desperatly sorry for the youyh players who have been pushed out. Is mirfin any better than dale bennet? I think not.

Hopefully Mcginn will be like a new signing when he is able to get back on the pitch for us?

Im sure these points have been brought up but i will add my 2p.

I would not sack him. If we were to do this we would have to fork out for his compensation which we probably cannot afford. Then we would have to have a proper search to find the replacement which would take time (if we do it right) which would put us under more pressure.

Then we are likely to either loose staff or players or have a completely plan implemented which at this stage would be hazardous to our development. We just need to back him and hope he will get the message that things aint working. I know this is a risk, but atm its the only choice we have.

Personaly i think we are done now unless a lot off money is ploughed in in january.

The most disgusting thing is thecritism of sordel! Honestly iam ashamed to support the same club.

Give him balls to run on hes good but puntit at his head. He wont beat a six foot defender.

Oh sordels lazy ... Well if you dont give him the ball and he has been told to p
play on the shoulder... Not chase back

This is the worst team and manager in my lifetimel i dont think it would stay up in league 1

First of all I wouldn't sack him but if I was Baz, I would be holding a meeting with him and asking what he is doing to stop the poor performances.

We have 2 very tough away matches now, so while I don't really expect to get anything more than maybe a point, I'd want to be seeing at least an improvement!

I think the Posh game and November will be the period where he he either proves himself or goes. Away to Boro will obviously be tough, but all the other games are winnable and we would want to see a stark improvement on not only performances, but points gained!

If we are still losing come the end of November, then we may have to start looking for someone else. This would also give them a month to look for targets to bring in January (if there is money available, of course)

The poll does not give a true reflection of how people feel and is easy to give false results as anyone can come in and vote which ever way they want. There for you get a false reading!

Dyche needs to take note that most of our players aren't over 6ft with a great ability to control the ball from high long balls..poor old CF must have a headache after each game!

Shame Big Chris hasn't worked out but I think like the rest of the team he is just too slow.

Some like Garner and Hogg are only young themselves so given time and the right tactics/team around them could be useful in the future.

Feel its important we just don't discard the youngsters as they'll get frustrated and wonder if they should look elsewhere for 1st team football..

Sordell just needs a good talking too...and not from his AGENT!

We've brought quanity rather than quality...which for a club like us isn't good as we cannot afford to have a load of average joes on the wage bill albeit not in quite the same way as Aidy has his rubbish!
