the young lads did ok but i would hate to think we had to rely on too many having to step in, one or two should fit in quite easy but we certainly do not have any great depth to the squad...yet.

 

Not in first choice eleven, no, but reckon he will definitely be getting games as the 4th choice out of 4 players for the two deeper center mid roles

Neither will Doyle imo. Will be Flanagan and Wright against Wigan.

If LJ has any sense, then that will be the last time we see him in a Sunderland shirt tonight. He literally has no interest in playing for us and is just going through the motions. Time to move on.

Just got back home after a gash match. Diamond was poor first half and v poor second half - his face looked panicked whenever he had to take someone on and seemed unable to find anyone with his passing.

Richardson was a poor right back.

Younger and Wright looked just about reasonable at CB.

Man of the match - the away crowd, apart from the 4 behind me who spent a lot of the first half discussing Jeremy Clarkson's Farm!

Was embarrassed to see how much more than us Tranmere players wanted and were more settled with the ball.

We may as well give up taking corners and free kicks because we don't seem to know what to do with them.

Thank heavens we have such a long time of pre-season left to sort out a team...
