I can’t comment on tonight but I’d agree with that. His pace could be an asset for us but he’s got a lot of work to do when he receives the ball.

 

It was a good strike from Neil, but take a look at the build up again. AOB is looking to pick someone out, Grigg was on the edge of the box in an ideal position then runs behind their player towards the far posts, hence he had to pull it so far back. Absolutely no thought whatsoever

FWIW - First game of the season for the U-23s is at the SoL on Monday 16th August at 1900 v Fulham. Most of these lads will be playing I expect.

Yeah he looks relatively calm considering how recently he's made the step up. Doesn't look out of place to me.

Two things I would like to see in the second half.

1. Dyce needs to do some overlapping runs with Diamond. Not a single attempt to cross the ball from Dyce in the first half.

2. Get that absolute waste of space Grigg off the pitch and put someone on who actually cares and will put a shift in.

 

He hasn't looked comfortable at all tonight. Hopefully the experience does him good but we need someone in, definitely.
