Too numerous to mention them all, but two easy ones for you: Last rugby world cup...England denied perfectly good try. Last football world cup...Lampard shot is two feet over the line and not given. The list goes on....However, this is a thread about Rugby and I have to say, hard luck to Wales, you did your country (AND BRITAIN) proud!!
ok kiwi time for the national anthems, if oz can sort the lineout out, bomb the wingers, we are in with a chance
Hard luck the Wallabies. I am proud of my adopted country, for there is no disgrace in coming fourth.
without looking on google...does anyone remember who came third and fourth last time..and who cares..why do they bother with it
well done all blacks, wallabies tackling was woeful especially in the first half, coach Deans hinting at a few changes for the Welsh match which noone (bar the Welsh care about) and tbh i cant see us beating the Welsh. very disappointing WC after the gr8 effort in the tri nations. interview with ex coach John Connelly regarding who will be there in four years time, half the forward pack will not, time to set up state youth acadamies and get rid of the national one. and kiwi, totally agree with you regarding the non sensical 3rd v 4th match, wales and Aussies both lost, go home and put your feet up and think of what might have been
No way will Wales want to go home! There are a lot of guys hurting badly out there who will want to put the record straight - this time with 15 against 15, crap/biased decisions allowing that is. The game is very much an anti climax, granted, but Wales will be seeking a SH scalp and it will be interesting to see if they can get it. Oz are no pushovers at any sport and I hope both sides will field strong teams to make a real match of it. Given that the ABs are likely to use the French as a**e wipes, I think that Wales will want to show the world what a fabulous final it might have been had they been there. If Oz can swallow their own disappointment and get up for the game, it should be a great match between two cracking teams and, whoever wins, I will be happy so long as the result is achieved without "undue influence".
Glad it's almost over to tell the truth. It's gone on too long, there have only been 2-3 decent matches and only Wales and to a lesser extent the All Blacks have shown any real class and the desire to win the thing! Just hope the French get crushed in the final.
Definitely want the French to get crushed in the final. I told a guy I see at work everyday that I am quarter Welsh on Friday, and I was met this morning with a smug grin and a not very convincing, 'je suis desole'...not a good time to be a little bit Welsh, a little bit English, and living in Paris.
The French do not deserve to be in the Finals. It will be interesting to see how the Kiwi's handle the pressure, personal, national, media etc etc. Really hope they kick the frogs all the way back to paris
2 days later and I'm still gutted. While Rolland must take a majority of the blame, we were the creators of our downfall by missing 3 routine kicks. Thought Jones should have gone for the DG in the last seconds but never did. Had we got those, we would have won 16-9. It wasn't to be, the appointment of HIM was appaling and I hope the WRU complain about it. It won't gain us anything, but it may stop it happening in the future. They went as boys, they came back as men!!! So proud of all the lads out there. Can't wait to see Dan (Lydiate), never thought he would perform like that.
Oh, and did anybody notice that we have dropped back down to 6th in the rankings? NZ Oz FRANCE!!!! SA England Wales. No disprespect to England, but how did they climb back above us? They went out before us, and we were 4th going into this game!
Lets get things into perspective here....The french did not do anything wrong here and it was the stupid ref who rightly or wrongly sent the player off, we done enough with 14 players to win the game and it was our lack lustre kicking that lost us the game. fair play to the french they played the game even though overall they were poor their defence did a good enough job. we never took our chances and we lost....so i wish the french the best of luck.
