Of course you're missing something. People who have dedicated their lives to studying a particular subject know significantly less about that subject than your average Joe Bloggs. How can you not have realised this?!
What's funny ? I'm not suggesting masks aren't effective but the WHO weren't sold on them. But if you think scientists always get things right your pretty daft. Their ego's can be stifling at times and like some doctors (quite a lot) Who get it wrong, redeem themselves with bullshìt .
Sitting in the pub yesterday there was a table of 6 people together, one of which arguing the toss about not wearing a mask, 'freedom of choice', 'government interference' yada yada. He went to the bar, maskless of course, got the drinks in and resumed the 'debate'. The interesting thing being that when they got up to leave he was the only of 6 not to put a mask on to leave the premises, his wife, son, daughter-in-law and the other couple he was with all put them on, which for some reason I found quite funny.
All those idiots who sneeze into handkerchiefs when they have cold/flu to prevent the spread of infection really are dumb jerks.
Just a general enquiry, apparently there's more than a few who have perished or suffered and wish they'd been jabbed prior to their illness. TBF I wouldn't even consider a match etc without the protection the jab offers.
I feel for you marra, all that we can do now is hope and pray for a best case outcome and I'm sure we will all join with you in doing that xx
Yeah my eldest daughter had her 2nd jab, ended up partly paralyzed and as a supply teacher, missed out on starting teaching at the school her son attends. So no chance of a full time job there, or a job anywhere at the moment whilst they test her for seizures But crack on pal.
Crack on with what ? Hope she makes a full recovery, she obviously must have wanted to get the jab though.
First and foremost, let's hope Nig's daughter gets better. It also depends if the vaccine was the cause of the paralysis, as Covid19 can be the cause itself, or it was going to happen regardless of vaccine/Covid19 ?
It's a reaction to the vaccine She was negative. My younger daughter was positive but not even fooking ill a few weeks ago. She's not been paid by work and has no money to buy fuel for the 100 mile daily commute, but expected to go in. But cheers .
Cheers. Yes she wanted the jab, thats her choice. But the idiots shouldn't have given her the 2nd due to her first reaction Anyways, am out of this thread. An am still not having a fookin jab
Ps, she's pretty fine now but there is a worry she could have recurring seizures, so fingers crossed no damage is done from that fooking vaccine. She's already lost out on that job, Hopefully her health doesn't suffer too.
Because many people, including doctors, believe they provide another barrier to contracting a killer virus ... ... I'm one of those people. If the NHS believe they're 80% effective and they're only really 50% that's better than 0%
Aye they've probably helped stop people getting a higher viral load thus reducing the severity of infection.
Opinions are fine mate but, tbf, there are posters on here who've lost people close to them, so I don't think it's a subject to be laughing about. I'll leave it there, take care.
